My day today at dreamland seeing Justin.

Today it my special day I went to dreamland today to see my all time hero is Mr Tumble!!!! He been my hero since I was little boy I watched his first episode when it on tv was episode Pets and I learnt to sign with him as part of my communication difficulties as I am deaf and has autism and my communication wasn’t good I was struggling to communicate and now I can communicate using sign language but I can lipread an bit but I felt much happier using sign language and I now has an iPad which has helped me to communicate. I was very lucky as I watched his show twice!!!!! This morning and the afternoon show!!!!
He quickly rescogiced me in my costume!!!!! We met last year and we met this year yay!!!!! This year at dreamland show it even more better!!!!! It got 2 BSL interpreters in!!!!! Yay!!!!! It made my day even more fun!!!! Because of my way of communication using sign language BSL and Makaton I now support my group for children with Downs Syndrome most of them loved Mr Tumble and met him last year they liked me I sign to them and they liked me! Not just me who met Justin but my mummy and my granny we FaceTimed so we could see Justin my mummy said to him that I am huge fan of him and thanked him to showing children and adults the sign language for the mainstream also that day today he was very kind and he kept has his eye on me when we signed the Hello song we signed I sign to him and he watched me signing!!!! He waved to me and my little friend and she was very happy to see him and she waved to him with me!

This year I got him an thank you card on his front card it got stars on and words thank you in rainbow colours as he loved twinkle twinkle and I can sing an rainbow song! Inside the card I draw the picture of Mr Tumble also his spotty bag and the Tumble tap and he loved it!!!!! That made my day so special!!!! My favourite ride at dreamland is Pendulum here is the video of that ride!!!!!

I loved it so much that I showed my mum and she was like oh my god no way she wouldn’t want go on that ride and I laughed to her that she like as chicken!!!! Buck buck

Wilf, your joy and excitement are bubbling through in every word - you may have had communication issues when you were young but boy can you tell your story now.

We are so lucky to have him. Don't know a great deal about his past other than found in a real state. He had to be almost completely shaved. His fur is growing back beautifully though as you can see. The rescue centre had him for three months until they could re home him as he needed lots of veterinary care too

Ah ok @wilf, I think it's because many people are concerned that you've shared lots of information that could be used by bad people. Maybe talk to @MNHQ about it and see if they could help you and make sure that you don't out yourself st risk

Some other Mumsnetters are worried that you are posting too much information about yourself on Mumsnet. Do you know why they might be worried Wilf? Do you know what the risks are of posting too much information about yourself on the internet?

Unfortunately Wilf name changing in the middle of your post won’t help because people will have already seen your posts under your last name

It looks like you had a really good time meeting Justin. My son has asd and taught himself lots of sign language watching mr tumble. We couldn’t keep up with him! I hope you are ok and maybe do another name change before you post about your adventures on mn again xx

Could you give me some examples of the things that bad people could do with information that you post online, Wilf?

They would share the information about me or they would find out more about me and they could copy the information and share to other people

Most people on the internet are good, like you, but sadly the bad people do exist.

There have been cases of people stealing people's photographs from the internet and setting up Facebook accounts in their names - essentially stealing their identity.

There have been other situations where bad people pretend to make friends with good people on the internet, and then steal their money or take advantage of them.

While the internet is a great place to share happy things (and your threads are always lovely to read Wilf) we all need to be careful about how much we post about ourselves. Particularly on a forum like Mumsnet which can be read by anyone at all. Facebook can be different, if you make your profile one that only your friends and family can see.

You'll notice that not many Mumsnet users reveal their real names, or post photographs of themselves, or details about where they live. We do this to protect ourselves from the small number or bad people. It might be worth considering doing this Wilf.
