Neighbours car abandoned on front lawn

New neighbours have moved in on our street and have a number of vehicles, one of which is on bricks on their front lawn. It looks an eye sore.

The bloke who lives there speeds down our 20mph street with little regard for the children who play outside most of the time.

A few people have mentioned the speeding and heap of junk on his lawn and he has been quite aggressive saying “he does what he wants” can I report this to the council or do I need to suck it up?

As a street, we all take pride in our homes and it’s a shame that the street is let down by one person. His NDN has their house up for sale and potential buyers have been put off because of the car on his lawn. We are also hoping to put our house up for sale in the near future but fear that it will put off any potential buyers too.

I am prepared to be flamed for being a bit of a snob!

Is it SORNed ?

If he's speeding then call the police.

If it's on private property there's very little you can do unless he's breaching terms of tenancy or restrictive covenants in which case you pursue according to the breach (solicitors/letting agents/housing association/council).

SORN is pretty handy too. Run the number plates to check if it has been declared off road or if taxed. If not report. All that does is generates fines but it might give them a kick into realising they can't just do what they want with no consequence.
