All three look different but all appeared overnight in a student house... are they bedbugs? On my face ConfusedSad?

Very itchy. Have another U shaped section on my lower back and many bites either solo or in 2s all over body (inc neck, legs, chest).

They do look like bed bug bites I'm afraid.

Thanks for the response! I've not had them before and they didn't look as bad as google images but they are worst case I suppose.

Anyone have any advice? I was at a friends house when I got them (on my way home now). How can I stop them spreading into my house? how do I tell my friend? Confused

Bite pattern is consistent with bedbugs, yes.

When you get home, before you do anything else, gently take off your clothes and wash at 60. If you have a steam cleaner, treat your bag and shoes. Shake book outside etc... try to avoid any hitchhikers dropping off in your home. And yes, tell your friend, they need the LL to get pest control in... BBs spread like wildfire and are difficult to eradicate once they get a foothold.

Thanks for the advice Kim

Luckily my bag is a canvas one and my shoes are machine washable so I can put them in the wash as well. We've got a tumble dryer and steam iron so I'll use both of those after washing just to be sure.

Any advice I can offer my friend?

Get LL to get pest control in. If they're sniffy or try to pass the buck onto the tenants, go and get advice from the housing advisor at the SU.

In the meantime, tell your friend to declutter... eg piles of old magazines/papers/junk under the bed. But don't chuck out furniture or anything of any worth - it can all be treated in situ (normally - take advice from the PC). Wash clothes and bedding at 60 (carefully - don't drop any on the way to the machine). Tumble dry on hot. Hoover the room and mattress thoroughly then immediately empty the canister in the outside bin. Steam clean furniture/bed/carpet/coats etc if possible. If the self-treatment/mitigation route is unavoidable, dust lightly with diatomaceous earth.
