If you have two or more DC, how long did it take you to fall pregnant with the second?

I'm just interested, really. We have a son who will be two in December and we are trying for another. We've been trying for 3 months so far. I thought I might have been pregnant last month but I was wrong, was a bit upset but I know that these things can take time and is different for everyone. It took us 5 months to get pregnant with our son. Hopefully we'll have some good news soon! I'd love for them to have a 2 and a half to 3 year age gap.
If you could share your experiences is be grateful!

DS1 (I was 32) - 2 weeks
DS2 (I was 35) - 6 months

I confess I was beginning to twitch too...which I realise sounds blooming insensitive and I never said anything other than to DH. But suddenly (and, as with DS1, I didn’t immediately realise and boom was 10 weeks pregnant).

WinterRose92 · 12/08/2018 21:23

DelurkingAJ It's hard when it's all you can think about. I know I'm really lucky to have my son but I so want to give him a sibling!

DC1 - 1st month trying
DC2- 12 months
DC3- 13 months
DC- 2 months

Very strange, but my children are to different fathers. DC2 and 3 are to the same father so wondering if he has low sperm count.

We joke and say 20 minutes, we had a discussion, 20 minutes later #1 went for a nap...

I didn’t expect it to be that quick, it took 5 months for #1!

DwangelaForever · 12/08/2018 21:55

First got pregnant after trying for around 8 months. Second pregnancy was unexpected at 4 months PP but resulted in a MC, currently 32 weeks pregnant and I fell pregnant within 2 months of coming off the pill - surprised how easy it was this time compared with first!

WickerHippo · 12/08/2018 21:56

DS1-surprise
Twins-6 months after DS1 was born (also a surprise)
DS4-We were trying for a year, but then stopped as we weren’t having much luck and we were moving house so didn’t think it was right to have a baby at that time. A month after stopping trying I fell pregnant.

Marmite27 · 12/08/2018 21:58

I was 34 and 37. DH is 6 months older.

CD probably means cycle date.
