3 colleagues and I are staying in a self-catering flat for the next week (arrived yesterday). It's in a holiday destination where people come to go walking, watch wildlife, enjoy the coast etc (ie not a beach holiday location), although we are here for work.
The flat is very newly decorated, going by how fresh everything is, I think we may be only the 2nd or 3rd group to stay here. One of my colleagues described it as "AirBnB-ready" - there are twee little lamps and fairy lights. But there's nowhere to put stuff. My bedroom is the only one with any hanging space, but I only have one tiny drawer in a little dressing table. Other rooms have a few drawers, but nowhere to hang anything. There are no coat hooks, only one bathroom has a towel rail, there aren't nearly enough cupboards and shelves in the kitchen. There isn't a mirror in my room. We are 4 adults in a flat advertised for 8 (3 doubles and a twin). If there were 8 people and all their belongings, the floors in every room would be covered in bags.
For a week, it's fine. We'll be out working all day from tomorrow, the beds are comfy, there's hot water and wifi, nothing is actually broken. So my question is, should we feed all this back? There's no way we'd stay here again, and I probably wouldn't put a review on a public website, but is it worth letting the owners know via the rental agency? It would be a matter of "Here are some suggestions that would make your property much more liveable-in and convenient for users".
