Not been to France for years - what's good in French supermarkets?

Indulge me - I am off to France soon with the DCs and LOVE a foreign supermarket. Am idly planning and looking forward but I need some specifics. Do they still do those peanut flavoured wotsit things? Obvs cheese and wine... what else is good?

My painter uses Jefco which is a trade paint.

There is a colour chart with 1320 colours. I understand that the paint is mixed to order. I look at our colour chart and there are several shades that could be called Magnolia.

Ask your decorator for the colour chart of their preferred paint. Give the Jefco as an example. And then select your preferred shade of Magnolia.

Don't be shocked at how expensive the paint is! Good luck.

I live in France and this thread has some great suggestions of things to try that I haven't bought before.

And I'm still baffled by the lack of conditioner to go with the shampoo...

Treacle and Anglaise That’s a relief - I look forward to seeing more shouty fat French mamans next time.

I've been in France for a week now and have been enjoying myself checking out above recommendations in various supermarkets Grin. Grimbergen Rouge beer is awesome! Love the little pots of La fermiere yogurt & I'm glad we don't have all the Belin crackers at home as I'd eat way too many. Found Pineau des Charentes but haven't tried it yet.

What I'm having trouble finding are Petit Olivier facewash & kirsch tea. Any suggestions on where to find them in Paris?

I love this thread! I know it is two years old but it is just as exciting pre-trip.

YY to the butter biscuits.
