Radiotherapy..... presents?

My friend starts radiotherapy soon and I want to do her a little hamper/care package. She's got to have it every day for three weeks. What sort of things should I put in it? Some trashy mags? Chocolates? Ideas please! 💡

Just stuff she'd like! So if she likes mags and chocolate, then that's a great idea.
But maybe no smellies, as your skin can get really sensitive /burnt on affected area.

I found it totally knackering. I felt (almost) literally drained.

I got my friend cashmere socks, some fancy ginger tea (for the nausea) and some neal's yard hand cream because she said her skin was very dried out. She seemed quite pleased with it, I think it's the thought that counts as much as anything. Hope she's doing ok xxx

Thanks for the reply. I don't know much about radiotherapy to be honest so I'm glad you said about sensitive skin. Minds just a bit blank at the mo on good ideas 🙈@TheSpottedZebra was there anything you would've appreciated? Or received that you loved?

@Errrrrrr I did think about something gingery actually 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Do you feel the cold more or something when you're having radiotherapy? There's a thread on here from 2016 with someone asking the same Q but it won't let me open it but on the preview I saw about socks....

Amazing hand cream. You have to be so clean with hand sanitiser in hospital and it can really irritate sensitive skin

Watching with interest and a friend in the same position...

Thanks for the suggestions. She's doing ok thank you all. Prognosis is positive after tumour resection.

Maybe some hand cream, lip balm, socks and ginger tea and ginger biscuits. Starting to come together.... maybe an eye mask to help sleeping on these light nights (feels like it's only actually dark for 5 minutes a night 🙈)

Dinner vouchers. Or breakfast - esp if she has a family and she usually does the cooking. Or a cleaner.
