Had some botox early January, i thought the nurse was injecting in the wrong place and said so,it felt to be more in my nose than between my brows, anyway i ended up with 2 black eyes a swollen and bruised nose and let her know, i was due ua review in 2 weeks,i sent her pics as she was away for a couple of dayswhen she was back she didnt bother to contact me, i spoke to her and she said she would see me in 2 weeks,
I have had botox before and never has anything like this haappned
She said it was because i was thin, im not actully thin, just slim,
I asked her if she would give me a refund, she said she didnt give refunds at all,
I contacted Save Face who some are registeted with, thyey said the people registered with tham wetre advised not to
I am thinking of taking her to small claims court, as it has ruined a family outing, also had to cancel several hospital appointments
IO am very embarrassed as i looked as if i had been punched in the face, bruisimg has gone now but 1 eye still half closed, the other too wide and eyebrow too high
I would appreciate opinions, i know things can go wrong, but no one even other practioners have said they have never seen anything like this and someone administering botox should be aware of where blood vessels are,
She said she injected in the right place, she didnt, there was a red mark where she injected, and it was in my nose at the top,it was very painful ,she panicked and rushed to ger an ice pack, but it didnt help, much ,the swelling went down very slightly
I will remove this pic later as it could be identifying

Sorry to hear this has happened to you, she sounds totally dodgy.

Is it worth contacting the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons? They may be able to offer advice.

baaps.org.uk/patients/

(Yes, they really are called BAAPS - I kid you not!). Good luck, hopefully you will get your money back or at least stop it happening to someone else. Name and shame on FB, Twitter etc.

lovemylover · 06/03/2018 17:38

Thanks for your reply, i am going to wait and see what the people mentioned in the above message have to say, they are all very shocked, so not something that shopuld happen at all with botox
Yes have heard about BAAPS, didnt think of contacting them, but something to consider

Thank you I intend to sue her, but waiting to see what advice i get from the lady i am seeing tomorrow, all her medical colleagues are horrified, but as it says in her message [above] no one has ever taken photos, and i have heard again today from someone else that this woman has done this before to other people
The bruising has gone, but it was awful having totyell lies and say i had banged into something, too embarrassed to say what had really happened

I know ALOT of friends and family who get botox and have never ever seen anything like that op. Really bad. I don't agree with people saying it is your fault. That's bullshit. You pay for a service to be administered correctly by a trained nurse. Not to be bruised and have your face messed up.

StealthPolarBear · 07/03/2018 23:11

Ouch op, hope you recover quickly

lovemylover · 08/03/2018 11:25

I will update when i have seen the lady who is giving me advice tonight, and see what her medical friends have advised , including plastic surgeons

I have seen the lady who has given me advice and who to contact, also eye drops which will help to open the eye, along with other advice on helping ,but too much botox has been put in the wrong are which has caused both forehead and eyelid to drop, ,so hopefully will not take too long,
She also helps to rectify botched non surgical procedures
The woman who administered the botox was not a prescriber or she could have prescribed the eye drops
So anyone thinking of having botox or fillers, make sure your practitioner is also a prescriber ,who can rectify anything which goes wrong immediately

Also discovered that it is illegal for someone to administer botox and fillers unless they are prescribers or Drs too, and she wasnt,
Victoria Derbyshire has a video out from a TV investigation, speaking to the head of save face, who verified this, so how come my lady was approved and accredited by them

Hi, I know it’s a bit late now , but in future, check a practitioners qualifications on the Nursing and Midwifery Councils website. This will tell you what qualifications the person holds , if they are a qualified nurse prescriber and if there are any current restrictions on their practice.

lovemylover · 20/03/2018 09:20

Thank you, i have had a message from Save face, this woman i saw is NOT a prescriber. and what she doing is illegal, she will be in deep trouble, so Save face want more photos and details of what she did to me
I actually screamed when she injected the top of my nose, and although i couldnt see it, of course, my daughter who was with me said a lump like a marble came up
The nurses excuse was because im thin

lovemylover · 05/04/2018 22:10

UPDATE The nurse who administered botox to me and bruised my eyes and nose, has been struck of the register of Save Face, and has said she will stop practicing,
I will watch this with interest,as on her facebook website she is advertising something in in injectables

turnipfarmers · 06/04/2018 21:56

I wouldn't do anything either, well other than realise that having Botox was a big mistake.

lovemylover · 06/04/2018 22:22

Not always a mistake, had it before and was fine,
It just means making sure people know what to look for in choosing someone to stick needles into them,
Whoever does it/has it,should never end up like this anyway
