To take my DD out tomorrow after she was ill today?

This evening she was sick 4 times. Been fine all day. Excited & happy with her birthday etc. Then spends the evening laid down and throws up 4 times over a period of about an hour.
She's only just fallen asleep now (Although has been laid down and quiet all evening) but hasn't been sick for about 3/4 hours now.

No temperature, Although ever so slightly warmer than usual. Still within the range of acceptable though.

Thing is, I'd planned a big day out tomorrow for her. Ditching the car and taking the train to the Railway Museum which she will love. Obviously though I don't want her unwell whilst away from home.

I would just see how she is in the morning, but she can often appear fine then all of a sudden it changes like a light switch. She had one of these 'sick evenings' a couple of weeks ago. Was spot on by next day. A different child it seemed!

So, would you?? Or leave it and stay in?

Please don't criticise me for the 'basic parenting common sense' Fail. I don't appear to have any at this precise moment in time!!

Thanks

No don't take her, she could make the other passengers sick.
Have a nice day at home instead.

Could you maybe take the car and then if she feels unwell it's not such a huge task to get back?

If not I'd maybe err on the side of caution and rearrange the visit. You could have a dvd day cuddled up on the couch instead if she feels well enough.

Just saw that you added she is three. I probably would stay at home then tbh.

I would stay in instead.

Buy some cake mix and bake and then have a movie marathon afternoon with some playing with her toys.

No, don't take her out. It could be a bug and it could affect others much worse.

Put it off and go next weekend or another time.

My 3 yo had similar sickness a week ago. His two siblings picked it up one after the other. It's been a horrid week! I've been inside for what feels like forever and washing copious amounts of bedding, towels etc, and got very behind on work due to having sick children home.

Taking the train is part of the fun. She was ecstatic last time we went on one! Looked out the window the whole way, bless her!

Sigh. Will leave it until Sunday then. I don't want her to feel unwell whilst we're out, that would be hell for her.

I bet she's dancing to Thomas & Friends by 10am Grin

Yeah I don't want to pass it onto anyone else. Especially not another child. Or inflict an evening with a disinfectant bottle on their parent/s either! Confused

@meandmytinfoilhat No need, we have birthday fairy buns with 'Bing' on! Wink
