Definitely not rivers. Or lakes. Or precipitation.

Lullabyloo · 20/04/2007 15:29

hunker

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 20/04/2007 15:29

Farting.

ledodgy · 20/04/2007 15:30

I always think dry is more sarcasm than slapstick iyswim. I consider myself to have a dry sense of humour.

southeastastra · 20/04/2007 15:32

shows like curb your enthusiasm are dry i think

i find tons of things funny that other people don't. that's life isn't it

BandofMothers · 20/04/2007 15:33

Me too ledodgy.dry and Sarcastic usually go together

zippitippitoes · 20/04/2007 15:33

the sort of thing that some people would not see as funny

definitely not slapstick

more verbal and maybe making a knowing reference to something else

hunkermunker · 20/04/2007 15:33

Yes, sarcasm, not slapstick - think Blackadder not Lee Evans.

hunkermunker · 20/04/2007 15:33

It's been said I have a dry sense of humour.

By me. See? Just then.

charliecat · 20/04/2007 15:34

What sort of sense of humour is ...erm, Scare Tactics? I normally wet myself laughing as people are frightened out of thier minds

Tinker · 20/04/2007 15:35

Yes, Curb Your Enthusiasm is a good example. As is Have I Got News For You.

A bit "clever"

ledodgy · 20/04/2007 15:36

Charliecat that is known as a sick sense of humour!

RTKangaMummy · 20/04/2007 15:36

zippitippitoes · 20/04/2007 15:36

the sort that a po faced person says is not funny

ViscountessPetitLapin · 20/04/2007 15:36

Bleugh Lee Evans.
Blackadder:
"Hello? Yes, yes, I'd like to leave a message for the head of the Flying Corps, please. That's Air Chief Marshall Sir Hugh Massingbird-Massingbird, VC, DFC and Bar. Message reads "Where are you you bastard".

Washersaurus · 20/04/2007 15:37

Other peoples misfortune

Iklboo · 20/04/2007 15:37

Also clever puns - a bit QI/Stephen Fry.

hunkermunker · 20/04/2007 15:37

PMSL LL! Not a fan of Lee "my one talent is to inflate and deflate myself sweatily" Evans either then?

tigerschick · 20/04/2007 15:38

Sarcasm, irony, things that are said with a straight face, Jack Dee, Black Adder etc.

Me

BandofMothers · 20/04/2007 15:39

QI, very interesting IMO, and rather dry. Or perhaps "droll" with Stephen Fry at the helm

LOVE BlackAdder. LL.

BandofMothers · 20/04/2007 15:39

Lol, Iklboo x-posts

tigerschick · 20/04/2007 15:40

Definately Stephen Fry.

BandofMothers · 20/04/2007 15:41

Must say I'm usually PMSL at Lee Evans too. He's hilarious

Irritates me when he does the silly voice tho, the thick one.

MrsCellophane · 20/04/2007 18:02

I have a dry sense of humour and I love Hunkermunker's - esp the post on this thread! Only prob with mine, is that I sometimes think people don't realise when I am joking and probably think I'm rather odd. Oh well. Their loss.

MrsCellophane · 20/04/2007 18:03

Oh and btw, I really don't get Little Britain at all. Blackadder though - "I'm in the stickiest situation since sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun". Still cracks me up.
