I realise that research into the effects of Zika on the human brain outside of the womb is still in its infancy but, presumably, given that the brain carries on developing quite significantly whilst a child is young, it's not outside the realms of possibility that a Zika infection could have long lasting effects on a toddler.
And yes, I appreciate that thousands of toddlers live in Zika regions and there's not much they can do about the risk they face daily.
But would you take a toddler (just turned 3) on holiday to the Caribbean?
