Wwyd surprise puppy

^^Just wondering what others might do in this situation and if you think it's a gd or bad idea..?

I have the chance to surprise my husband and kids with a puppy on wed. I can get her tmro but DH & DS1 8 & DS2 5 are away atm until wed. We already have a dog atm and everyone loves him and wouldn't be without him the kids help with feeding and water etc.. but he is my dog.

My DH works and I don't so I can look after the 2 dogs and we have the room, but when I joked about it DH wasn't very keen on the idea and made alot of excuses as to why it wouldnt be ideal ie hols away, insurances ans if the dogs didnt get along but he wasn't saying definitely not either.. (as he definitely didn't want DS1 to get a rabbit)

So I'm wondering should I get her tmro or not risk it incase it backfires on me and he doesn't like the surprise ? & I end up in the dog house 🤔

Oh dear OP you must know how bad it is to thrust a puppy on someone who didn't actually want one. Yes your DH is probably saying he is ok now but I do wonder if that will continue if or when the puppy gets more difficult/bitey etc.

You wanted a puppy and you got one, fuck everyone else. Jesus, your poor husband. He has an irresponsible wife who makes huge decisions behind his back and just expects him to put up with it.
