Taking much lower band job NHS

I started a new band 5 job a while ago and really hate it. So much so I dread going in and lose sleep. It is complicated and demanding. I started with the NHS on a band 2 in a completely stress free role that I enjoyed 10 years ago. A similar band 2 vacancy has come up and I'm thinking of applying. Am I mad going from a 5 to a 2 or is it worth it for a stress free work life? There are never any part time 3-4 band jobs available. Money wise won't be too much of a hit as I am part time and will go under tax threshold. I can't decide!!!!

If you are that unhappy why not take the lower band, if money wise it balances out it makes it easier at least.

I just feel that it is a backwards step and I'm letting myself down......but then I'm so miserable at the moment 🙁

I think many NHS have become more stressy! You wouldn't be going back to the same band 2 job, nor might it be as easy or stress-free. I highly suspect not!
I would try and work on managing the stress, prioritising and categorising your work, and leaving all thoughts of it at work when you come home.
I took a demotion for this reason, and it really isn't any easier for less money!

If you don't need the money take the lower and job. Life is too short to be fearing going to work.
