Funeral or dd 12 week vaccinations?

My dh has just told me it's his nans funeral next week the same day as our dd vaccinations. The vaccinations are only once a week and the funeral will be a all day event so I can't do both on the same day. Would you cancel the vaccinations to go to the funeral or not go to the funeral (dh can go of course).

Would you have gone to the funeral if you'd not had another commitment? Are you anxious about taking the baby to a funeral or leaving her with a sitter?

Ask a friend/family member to take your DD for her vaccinations and you go to the funeral. As long as you send them with a signed letter of parental consent/and or speak to the nurse beforehand giving verbal consent it shouldn't be a problem. Grandparents do this regularly.

Hi all to answer some questions yes I would have gone if dd didn't need her vaccinations ( even though I don't get on with dh family). I am anxious about taking dd to a funeral it's not a pleasant thing for a baby to play up at.
Anyway I have arranged for the vaccinations to be done first thing in the morning to give me enough time to get there and leave a bit early to collect ds from school. I have suggested to dh we each take our own car so he doesn't have to worry about leaving early. Now he's bloody back tracked and doesn't think it will be a good idea to take dd especially since she is having her vaccinations that morning. Don't know what to do I bloody tried today and feel like it's been thrown in my face. I am not very good with social situations and emotions and I now don't know which way to go.
