Need a name for my business!

Sorry if this isn't the best place to ask but going round in circles and it's driving me a bit bonkers!

I would be so grateful for any suggestions. My dream is to set up an online antique and vintage jewellery shop. I have experience in the jewellery trade and now a SAHM which I love but have a passion for all things sparkly, particularly those with a history and/or story behind them. I used to mainly sell engagement and wedding rings for a living and absolutely loved having the honour of being part of a couple's excitement in choosing them.

My name doesn't lend itself to that of a jewellers unfortunately as this would be the obvious place to go. Some ideas I've already knocked around are: Marie-Josephe (Josephine, Napoleon's true love's birth name), using my grandmother's maiden names which are Harding and Griffin, the word Amore which reference my initials and part of my surname (too cheesy though?), referencing my son who is called Joseph. I love the thought of referencing the sentiment attached to items of jewellery but have no idea how!

Thanks so much for any help!

HArding and Griffin Antique Jewelers sounds like it has been around for ages (in a good way!)

Thank you so much for your replies and suggestions. I really like Harding and Griffin though can I ask, do you think it sounds too established and grand for a small (at the beginning anyway) online company just run by little old me? Does this matter? Thanks for your input!

Personally, I think sounding grand and established is important in a market where credibility and trust is important. Presumably you want people to have confidence that what you are selling is legitimate / as described, given the potential for fakes and fraud.

If you feel uneasy about over selling yourself, you could always have an "about us" tab on your website where you explain that the name comes from your grandmother (who ideally, in marketing terms, would have given you your love of jewelry!)

Christine, thank you, you make very good points! Never been one for selling myself (although, if I dare say so myself, pretty good at selling jewellery!) but think it's time
to push myself out of my comfort zone in that respect. Think there's a winner there. Thanks so much x
