I have a lot of them in my garden, I've left parts overgrown for them and have made a great deal of effort to stop cats coming in. But no one else seems to like them, almost every friend is shit scared of these lovely things. Its such a shame they are native and at risk

I'm proud of my resident snake though I'd rather not experience its anal gland.

We're going to move this thread over to Science and Nature club where we think it would have a better home.

I was coming home just yesterday and looked over the garden wall to see the cat with a slow worm in its mouth. I bellowed is name (the cats, not the slow worm's) and he dropped it like he'd been electrocuted
I didn't see whether it was one of the ones he'd bought in previously or not as it zipped off at a rate of knots.
