Is this still the place for insaniacs to take refuge?

Hi to anyone that still remembers me, have been lost in the wilderness of RL for far too long and have been dragged back here kicking and screaming by meeting up with the fanastic wwb

So how is everyone?

(and if no-one remembers me I'll cry)

I'm just a mad stalker anyway, you know you don't want to encourage me or give me any personal details . on mad stalker note, DH mentioned some railway thing near Chesterfield last week that we had vaguely discussed meeting at about 18 months ago... let me know if you fancy meeting up again.

WigWamBam · 01/11/2006 13:08

Oooh yes, would be lovely. Would have to pick our dates a bit around Brian's work and play rehearsals but would love to try and do that sometime. When were you thinking?

ItalianJob · 01/11/2006 13:09

I will consult with DH as to whether the railway whatever has any madly exciting trains on some weekends and not others

WigWamBam · 01/11/2006 13:10

It's bound to ... not that I would know the difference. Dh would ... and these days so would dd - I have a geek-in-training now to go with my fully fledged geek

ItalianJob · 01/11/2006 13:12

oh god you are outnumbered DS is also showing an interest in trains, but it's more generalised atm!

WigWamBam · 01/11/2006 13:15

Completely outnumbered. If it runs on a track or has steam coming out of it somewhere or runs on wheels she's drooling over it. She went gaga over the Cornish pumping engines last week at the tin mines, and can identify more cars than I can. And she also seems to be developing this thing about buses ...

I don't stand a chance, do I

ItalianJob · 01/11/2006 13:16

a thing about buses . Now what sort of weirdo is into that sort of thing . just wait till it's milkfloats!

WigWamBam · 01/11/2006 13:19

You obviously haven't seen the photo of her in the vintage milk float then

We went to a transport museum a few months ago full of old buses and milk-floats; couldn't get her away from either.

I'm on a hiding to nothing really!

wobblyknicks · 01/11/2006 19:16

Hiya everyone!

Thanks Miaou, I remember bringing more problems to MN than I helped solve but if you remember it differently I'm not one to argue

What is it about trains and steam etc etc? Soon going to be overrun with public transport fanatics, very eco friendly mind you. Have you recovered from the holiday yet wwb? Was brill to meet you, your dd is fab, a credit to you.

WOBBLES!!!!!!

How good to see you around! Good to hear you are doing well. How's your gorgeous dd?

WigWamBam · 01/11/2006 19:24

Thank you ... listening to her yelling at dh at the moment I'm not sure she's much of a credit to me at the moment!

Was brilliant to meet you (even if you are disgustingly young and people probably thought you were my dd and our children were my grandchildren ...)

I was rather hoping the steam gene would miss a generation but it seems that's not to be! Steam's OK, I can cope with that ... milkfloats and buses are a little more worrying though!

wobblyknicks · 01/11/2006 19:36

Hi Cadbury, I'm fine and dd is wonderful, getting funnier by the day, she's got more personality and more of a social life than me now, not sure if I should be proud or jealous

wwb - the question is did dh need shouting at? Awww, I'm sure no-one thought that, I look a bit too knackered and wild eyed to be directly related to you

OP posts:
moondog · 01/11/2006 19:37

Hello wobbles.
Good to have you back!

wobblyknicks · 01/11/2006 19:37

And how are your lovely 2 cadders?

(wwb, try getting her on to monster trucks or something a bit 'cooler')

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 01/11/2006 19:37

Hi moondog, what have you been up to?

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 01/11/2006 19:37

Knackered and wild-eyed ... yep, definite resemblance there

Dh always deserves yelling at ... not sure he appreciates it from a 5 year old as well as from me though ...

wobblyknicks · 01/11/2006 19:39

Well if he deserved yelling at then she's still a credit to you, taking the menial jobs away from you so you have more time to MN!

JoolsToo · 01/11/2006 19:39

welcome back wobbly we could do with a few more 'fun' people around here!

welcome back to MTS too!

WigWamBam · 01/11/2006 19:41

Although they always end up having WW3 at bedtime so it would probably be less jarring on the nerves to do it all myself!

Not going to though ...

Is your dd feeling better now, btw?

wobblyknicks · 01/11/2006 19:41

Hi JT, aren't there many fun people left on here then? What's happened here, where's all the laughter and lewdness?

Speaking of which, anyone know what happened to 'Mischevious from Guildford'? (jmg1)

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 01/11/2006 19:43

Fair enough, but if she does everything, including host WW3, you can just hide from it all

She's more or less sorted now, went back to nursery yesterday and got back in favour with all her boyfriends

OP posts:
moondog · 01/11/2006 19:47

Wasting my time on here mostly...

wobblyknicks · 01/11/2006 19:48

Why do I feel like that's the way i'm heading already

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 01/11/2006 20:14

I'm already jumping into other threads being all bossy, I need help!!!

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 01/11/2006 20:15

It's fatal, coming back here when you've weaned yourself off it; before you know it you're back on a six-hour-a-day habit and your bum is taking root.

Boyfriends ... wait until she's 5, and all boys will be smelly. Apart from William, who she's going to marry, and Daniel whose babies she's going to have ...
