hello everyone, sorry i am new to this site and i have no clue where to write this....

my daughter has turned 14 and her hair has become very oily, she almost has to wash it every day.. she uses dry shampoo but still so oily! ive tried aussie shampoo, lorel elvive shampoo, lots of tesco ones for oily hair. i just can't seem to find one! at the moment she is using a aussie one and a sainsburys apple shampoo. if anyone knows any tips for making her hair less oily or any shampoos they would recomend please comment below, or any conditioners as the ends of her hair is so dry only the scalp is oily!

i would really appreciate some recccomendations.

thank you,

Johanna x

I use Alberto balsam, apple. It's for greasy hair. My hair has always been really really oily and this is the only thing that works for me. Now only wash my hair 2-3 times a week rather than everyday. Plus it's really cheap and smells delicious Smile

Body shop do a ginger one that when used with their banana conditioner has helped dd.

Hi Johanna welcome :)

I have long hair that I need to wash everyday - bane of my life!

I discovered this Lush shampoo bar after a recommendation on here - I find it great. It means I can easily go a couple of days without washing my hair - and the condition has stayed good (I don't usually use conditioner with it).

However I am a product junkie and love to chop and change among brands, but if I have a busy few days and can't be bothered with washing my hair every day I'll always go back to the lush bar.

What I find really helpful is to try and not wash it and let it get really really greasy every now and again. Sounds gross but the hair is producing the oil because you keep washing it away, so when the oil builds up I find it produces less afterwards!
Only problem is that you look super greasy for a week or so every now and again, but it works for me!

My dds use the Alberta Balsam one too, its usually a pound everywhere.

Which Aussie one are you using? Only I use them for my frizzy mop and find them good for that as they're so heavy. You might be better off switching to a lighter 'normal' shampoo and washing every day/two days. Also conditioner, if she's using this make sure she's ONLY applying it to the ends and not all over.

clarifying shampoo helped me in my oily teenage years - think loreal do one :)
