Agree with LabradorMama.
Also, are there any web forums relating to what you're blogging about? If so, be active there, whilst including your blog address on your profile page. For example, my blog is about knitting and crochet for the home, and I spend (too much) time chattering on Ravelry, which is a huge knitting/crochet site.
It takes lots of time to build up a following. Whenever I see a blog with a huge following, I look at how long it's been going, and the answer is always 'several years'.
I was given this advice which I think is helpful: think not just about what you want to write, but about what potential readers want to read. How can you help them in some way? What are they likely to search for that will lead them to your blog?
And do tag your posts carefully, because those tag terms are what help people find relevant blog posts when they're searching via Google etc.
Notice what you like/dislike when you read other people's blogs. Use that reflection when you write your own posts.
Good luck!
(And you missed a trick by not giving us the URL of your blog when you posted your OP!)
Best wishes,
