Taking a bottle to a friendly gathering

If invited to a gathering at a friend's house for drinks and nibbles but youre not 'drinking', should u take a bottle of wine as well as the soft drink youll be consuming, or not?

I've got a couple of bottle of Belvoir presse, which I'm happy to share and some yummy nibbles. Will that suffice or am I being mean?

I don't drink, and I just take soft drinks with me to parties, I think that's fine.

As long as there's enough soft drinks to share then yes, that's plenty. If you just took one bottle and wanted it all, assuming everyone else would be drinking wine, that might be a bit mean.

I'm not a big drinker so I usually take some cans of lemonade or something, to ensure that I have soft drinks available. Inevitably everyone else drinks them and gives them to the kids, so I make sure to take plenty!

Yes, fine to take soft drinks, but I think they need to be naice ones and more than you'd drink on your own

No need to bring wine

The adage is bring a bottle (of whatever you are drinking)

Thank you for your unanimous responses. Soft drinks it is
