So can't wait to do this tomorrow.. what if someone does this to me. Do I assume they are playing the game also. Do I move it or just accidently let my shopping knock it straight?

MrsDiesel · 09/05/2014 18:24

Oooh I will try this. I would just turn it round though....

kelper · 09/05/2014 18:24

lol I shall try next time I go shopping :)

Rissolesfortea · 09/05/2014 18:24

I will be checking out the checkouts tomorrow on the look out for annoying mn'ers.

Rollermum · 09/05/2014 18:24

Ah hang on though, do you mean lay it down? Or rotate as is?

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/05/2014 18:26

It started as a tactic to try and create some bumper of personal sace.

You know those folks who cram right into your arse im the queue because they want to be level with their shopping on the conveyor? Well THEM.

But the squirming it causes while people dilemma with themselves is just LULZ.

It so works? What exactly is it meant to divulge about the next shopper? I wouldn't think anything of it and would just move it. What would that say about me?

I'm amazed that perhaps just one in ten will turn it. They all twitch though, and that's my work done Grin

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/05/2014 18:28

Scared to deviate from the norm, RollerG?

Oooh, look at all the Rollers on this thread...

I have occasionally pondered answering "yes thanks" to the question "would you like help packing?" And then just stand there not doing a thing, perhaps call someone and have a chat while my shopping gets packed. And then realise I've forgotten to get something and go back to the aisles. And then get the cashier to pack that too.

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 09/05/2014 18:33

People really twitch? What if you do it at the start (bwcause the person in front hardly ever puts the devider on) and at the end?

I like living dangerously.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/05/2014 18:37

Ooh YeGods, good point.

If I do it before putting my shopping down, they don't seem to mind, it's the aftershoppers that twitch.

Righto! I'm in.

Lidl tomorrow.

Will see what happens! !

OnIlkleyMoorBahTwat · 09/05/2014 18:43

Watch out trying this in aldi. I got shouted at by the check out assistant for not using a divider at all, because there was none I could reach. Apparently a really big gap is not a satisfactory way of separating people's shopping Hmm.

LittleMisslikestobebythesea · 09/05/2014 18:44

I work on a checkout, I will be watching out for possible mnetters when I'm in work on Sunday!

I don't think I could do it myself, I would be itching to put it the right way :o

ShelaghTurner · 09/05/2014 18:44

I don't understand . Am I lying it longways down the conveyer belt instead of across? I don't mind experimenting but I'll look a prize prick if I'm 'experimenting' by doing it the correct way.

agnescrumplebottom · 09/05/2014 18:48

If the person behind me turns it the right way, can I give them a hard stare and turn it back again in a snatchy manner... can I go on can I Grin

RachelWatts · 09/05/2014 18:50

I don't understand. The checkout staff put the divider like that already in my local shop. If you move it to try and fit more shopping on you get an eye roll then they put it back.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 09/05/2014 18:54

I will see if I can pluck up the courage to try it then!

heronsfly · 09/05/2014 18:55

I will try tomorrow Grin

hiddenhome · 09/05/2014 18:58

I shall do this.

SmellyFartado · 09/05/2014 19:04

I'm in but I don't get it. Do I lay it flat or at a skewed angle?

I had the evils from the pompous arse for not putting a divider after my shopping earlier. He came when half my shopping was done but he was vair angry at lack of divider. There may have been a tut. He was lucky I had my two already grumpy DC with me as a distraction or I'd have fecking rammed a divider up his ass.

Crutchlow35 · 09/05/2014 19:09

I'll do this tomorrow.
