I launch a giveaway to win some Godawful tat and try to persuade 250,000 people to each donate a pound so I can buy a house. Neither ends well

A round up of the story of Richard III's remains. For anyone who hasn't seen the documentary or managed to read the papers yet...

MmeGuillotine · 05/02/2013 11:43

A look at last night's often unintentionally hilarious documentary about Richard III: The King in the Car Park.

MmeGuillotine · 05/02/2013 11:45

mumsmakelists I've always been a Yorkist at heart, although as a descendent of John of Gaunt and the Beauforts I'm genetically a Lancastrian. ;D

FoxtrotFoxtrotSierra · 05/02/2013 12:09

I'm cross about something? I know, I'll blog about it in a passive aggressive manner. Liar, liar pants on fire

DidYouPackThePassport · 05/02/2013 15:08

A few thoughts on family traits and how you live on in your children. Seems sometimes you DO get that second chance after all!

A Second Chance

FlipFantasia · 05/02/2013 17:18

I'm loving all the Richard III stuff - here in America folks are both fascinated (royals!) and bemused (under a parking lot?!?).

Anyway, some easy tips on making your own green cleaning products

MmeGuillotine · 05/02/2013 20:31

I can't think of anything more quintessentially English than finding a king under a car park. ;)

You are so right MmeG and that is how they are reporting it over here. Zeez eeengleesh, zey find zer kingz under zee parking. Grin

mumsmakelists2 · 06/02/2013 07:52

MmeGuillotine oh well that makes us long lost cousins then as I can also claim - a tad dubiously :-) - descent via John of G and the Beauforts!

Every child enjoys "float or sink?" but here are 18 more fab experiments for exploring density and buoyancy with pre-schoolers and beyond ...

MmeGuillotine · 06/02/2013 09:24

Petite, I hardly think the French are in any position to comment on the remains of Kings being found in undignified places!

MmeGuillotine · 06/02/2013 09:26

mums I think 99% of the UK can claim descent from John of Gaunt, which is quite cosy. I'm just annoyed that my descent is via the same line as the Tudors. I'd have preferred the same one as the Yorkist kings but ah well. :)

RecipeJunkie · 06/02/2013 09:57

Egusta - We are also doing a lot of eating out of the freezer at the moment. I found blackcurrants and made reckless cheesecake, and some jam

FiveHoursSleep · 06/02/2013 10:25

Feeling Nosy?

CollectorofCookbooks · 06/02/2013 10:26

Recipe Junkie's post on the Great British Bake Off inspired me to confess - I have my own TV show

mumsmakelists2 · 06/02/2013 10:27

Quite happy to share lineage with Henry VII & Elizabeth I - would just prefer not with the ghastly Henry VIII, Mary & Edward!

Egusta · 06/02/2013 10:33

That cheesecake looks amazing Recipe. I have never made a cheesecake, am nervous of desserts generally.

It is going to be interesting eating all out of the freezer- as we seem to have masses of fishcakes and fish fingers in there. I am trying to see how creative I can be.... today will be frozen shrimps so I am going to attempt my own sesame prawn toasts....

Snipped. A love story.
