Prompted by another thread, I went looking on youtube for one of my favourite scientists. That is Robert Sapolsky, and I already have a couple of his lecture courses on DVD. He specialises in biology and human behaviour. I found the first of his course of lectures given to students at Stanford University: .

Tim Harford has just done a radio 4 series Pop-up Economics, bios of scientists/economists.

Reviving this zombie thread to add another (free) resource for science fans. I can't remember how I found this particular resource (possibly somewhere here on MN):

It's a collaborative project by various Australian Universities - and Australia has long been an exemplar of delivering education at a distance.

I've already done the Basic Physics course, which was excellent. And was given by a physics lecturer who owns a Bazinga t-shirt and isn't afraid to wear it.

I'm just getting to the end of the Chemistry course. That also is excellent; the lecturer occasionally likes to point out that there are no good chemistry jokes, and gives examples of very, very bad ones.

Both courses made my brain hurt at times - but in a good way.

Good stuff on BBC iplayer too!
