Presents on a plane!

Hi

We are travelling over Christmas, taking hand baggage only.

Does anyone know, if I wrap the presents beforehand, will I be forced to remove this at Customs, as the cases goes through x-ray machines etc.

Many Thanks

They can unwrap them if they want to. But they probably won't need to. You aren't allowed to take anything you haven't wrapped yourself.

Hand luggage goes through x rays. If the can't figure out what it is then you will need to open it.

Make sure it doesn't contain water. Dbro was flying back from the US and had bought my ds a snow globe. He had to go back and check it into the hold as they wouldn't allow it in handluggage.

I would either use gift bags or at least leave one end unsealed so you can slide it out, cos I've had them make me open mine in the past.

Gift bags, or leave one end untapped. Lego and clothes should X-ray fine.

They are just being really twitchy about any liquids, containers over 100 mls and sharp things.

I'm gonna go ahead and say you will be fine.
A few months ago we wrapped some toys for our son to keep him occupied on the plane and it was ok, going and coming home.
