.. which one of these lovely men has grown the most impressive mustache?

The lovely MNHQ fellas have been busy grooming their facial fuzz (or forests in some cases) for Movember

Please do donate a quid or five to a great cause and support the MNHQ men.

Check out their rather fetching progress below:

Jux · 23/11/2012 18:18

They're all thoroughly delightful

Oh, OK, number 1.

keanu · 23/11/2012 18:59

harbingerofdoom · 23/11/2012 21:47

1 or 4 and I now suspect my DH has a double Grin but really it's an age thing.
DH couldn't grow a Santa beard.....yet.

MrsKwazii · 23/11/2012 22:51

Yes, we need more evidence of an actual mo for No3 please. Good job all round though chaps - will any of you be keeping your new facial furniture?

Btw lovely Helen, re: thread title, there's an 'O' in moustache

WankbadgersBreakfast · 24/11/2012 05:25

Hellooooo, 2...
There's a luffly space under my bed just for you.
What's that you say? Mr Wank? Oh, he won't notice, he works nights

Patrick, it will be ok. You have outstripped my brother, you are doing well.

Oh, I assumed it was a deliberate pun on 'must' ask... You totally missed a trick, there, Helen. You could have got away with it.

No, it's still a pun; just a correctly spelled one, now Smile

madwomanintheattic · 24/11/2012 16:36

See, but now, it's irritating the life out of me and making my teeth itch.

I had organized it in my head as a deliberate mis-spelling. And now, even though it's right, it looks wrong, because I'd legitimised the 'must' by virtue of the pun!

First time I've ever had my inner pedant melt down over a correct spelling though...

Sorry, Patrick. This isn't helping the growth vibes, is it?

Sorry madwomanintheattic, really don't want to make those teeth itch!

But to make the pun work, it either has to be "we moustache you" (allowing the pronounciation to do the work for you) or "we must-ache you" (using the hyphen to create the pun).

Our original "we mustache you" was wrong because it was a misspelling of moustache or an insufficiently clear play on must and ask.

Hassled · 24/11/2012 18:43

I bloody hate all moustaches but if the question is "whose moustache looks most like that of Stephen Fry in WW1 Blackadder?" then the answer has to be No 1. And as that was the least bad of moustaches I have come across, it's a clear winner.

madwomanintheattic · 24/11/2012 19:01

Aye.

I know.

But I had reconciled my inner pedant to give you the benefit of the doubt re the missing hyphen. Grin

And now it's backfired. I was wrong, you was wrong, we was all wrong.

It doesn't help that I am daily trying to avoid negotiate north americanisms. Who knew that 'whilst' is not recognised? Or that 'kip' is completely unfathomable to folk I count as friends?

GetKnitted · 24/11/2012 21:37

Sorry RebeccaMumsnet, I didn't notice the numbers and thought that number 3 was you ;) Blush

MrsKwazii · 24/11/2012 23:20

Apologies for the 'O' related angst Wink

SirBoobAlot · 25/11/2012 00:14

Number one looks like something from a Mexican porn film.

AndiMac · 25/11/2012 01:04

"We moustache you a question"

And I have an answer, but I'm shaving it for later...

Thank you! Thank you! I'm here all night!

AppleOgies · 25/11/2012 09:07

Bravo Andi you are wasted MN, get thee to the Hammersmith Apollo! Grin

AndiMac · 25/11/2012 10:06

I have always fancied giving stand-up a go, but would need an audience of Mumsnetters as all my material is based on kids and married life. I won't tell you my best story in case it truly happens.

DramaInPyjamas · 25/11/2012 15:11

Number 1 looks my dad.

I would LOVE to see the rest of number 6.

WankbadgersBreakfast · 25/11/2012 15:55

DramaInPyjamas- you'd love to see the rest of him, hey? How much of the "rest" are we talking? Grin

I know which "rest" I'd be talking about, if you replaced "6" with "2."

SoupDragon · 25/11/2012 15:58

Would PatrickMumsnet like a crocheted moustache toupee?

TheGrumpalo · 25/11/2012 20:25

I vote for number 1!

OlaRapaceFru · 29/11/2012 19:22

Just in case you missed my photo on the other thread, I saw this today - couldn't resist taking a photo.

Which variety of 'tache are you growing, guys?!
