I have fallen in love with a lot of my daughter's books on the first read. Almost everything from Julia Donaldson or Lynley Dodd for example is an instant hit - they just seem great. Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper was definitely not one of these the first time we got it from the library - I thought it was weird!

After multiple readings I still think it's weird - even a bit Gothic - and I am starting to think this is why she likes it.

Do you like surprises? We just had our 19 week scan and decided to not find out the gender... for a little while.

I hate housework, but hate chaos more

ParsleyTheLionness - loved the post - a woman after my own heart! Smile I abhor housework but melt down in chaos. I've got a housework linky on my latest housework post for us dullards determined to crack it - do add your post!

I've turned my uber Christmas check-list into a schedule ... just a few little things each week and abracadabra as if by magic it will all be done with not a moment of stress ... Grin

... failing this I may borrow some mice from the Tailor of Gloucester to help out!

My Christmas plan ...

I can believe the level of flannel we are expected to believe when it comes to banking reform. I wrote this in disgust.? lifeafterdebts.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/malice-and-manipulation-aforethought.html
