Blog-prompt: Bruce Willis wants to bequeath his iTunes collection. What odd things might your children inherit?

Dear old Bruce Willis is rumoured to be considering legal action against Apple, because he wants to be able to pass on his iTunes collection to his children after his death. Apparently he's spent thousands of dollars amassing it - but since iTunes users only 'borrow' the music they download under license, it'll all go pouf when Bruce plays his final action scene.

All of which got us thinking - what would you like to pass on to your children (having lived to a ripe old age, obviously) that isn't the usual jewellery, watch or knick-knacks? Could be a real but, erm, quirky collection - or an object, a life skill, or even a family trait.

Let us know if you post - or if you're pressed for time, tell us about it here!

Ooh good question.

I would like to bequeath them the focus I had when I was in my twenties. Obviously, before I can give it to them, I'll have to remember where I put it.
On the upside, it's already clear that they won't have to wait for my death to inherit my massive drama-queen tendencies.

On a practical level I'd like them to share the really good set of sharp kitchen knives which have transformed my cooking from a bloody hackfest to something satisfyingly chef-y.

Finally, I hope they already have the knowledge of how very much I love them. It would be awful if they had to wait till I'm gone to have that.
