Is sexism holding British athletes back? How is the BBC coverage improving the Games? Are Visa and MacDonald's spoilsports or super sponsors? Are you enjoying the Games or are they giving traffic grief?

We're delighted to be showcasing your news and views on our Olympics page, so do have a look. A big shout out to TeaDevotee, who got all excited and announced she was blogging the Games, and the Mummy Olympics blog - name speaks for itself.

We're delighted to have so many MNers blogging the Games - do post your comments and new Olympic-themed posts here.

I posted about our trip to the Opening Ceremony here The London Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony - we were there! We've also been to a few other events, with tickets for more next weekend, so some more posts will be lined up!

TheLazyGirlBlog · 31/07/2012 18:15

I have one on American TV giants NBC, and their baffling decision to ditch a tribute to 7/7 victims at the Opening ceremony in favour of master of cheese Ryan Seacrest. You wont believe their excuse! Opening Ceremony, US style

teadevotee · 31/07/2012 19:18

Thank you for shouting out to me! Ok, so this is the level of over-enthusiasm I have reached so far: bashing my daughter with a torch and stalking Olympians. Ahem.

I posted my take on the Olympics, following Stewart Lee's run-in with the 'Olympic Advertisement Enforcement Office'.

I haven't been on here for ages as blog was 'hijacked' by work but blogged today about our trip to the Olympic Park...

Bex66 · 02/08/2012 09:31

I have been blogging on the amazing "Olympic effect" today - I have proof that the Olympics are having an effect on people's attitudes to exercise! I have noticed that since the Olympics started on Friday the number of visitors to my weight loss site has doubled with a whopping 174 clocking in on Monday alone PLUS why the Olympics has made me want to try out the triathlon - www.howilostweight.co.uk

I understand that Tom Daley is a fantastically talented young man with a lot to give. However, I'm a bit displeased with the focus placed on him, sometimes at the expense of other brilliant UK athletes. Even the heading for this post mentions him. As I said, he's great, but so are so many others.

Can someone explain the fascination the press has with him?

ElenMumsnetBloggers · 02/08/2012 15:30

Hello again,

BLOG-PROMPT ALERT

We're all about the Games this week, and we're cheering for Team GB as much as the next fellow. So we're keen to know what you think of Bradley Wiggins' suggestion that cyclists should be required to wear a helmet by law?

Tom Chivers at the Telegraph disagrees. He says: "I'm loath to disagree with Wiggo in the moment of his triumph, but I fear that if his suggestion is followed, it will cause more premature deaths than it prevents."

He also says "we should remember that cycling is actually very safe."

Is Wiggo onto a winner with the cycle helmet law suggestion? Or has he got the wrong end of the stick?

We're keen to hear about ALL your news & views on the Olympics - from sexism in sport to Becky Adlington's swimming to the rowing - so do tweet them at us #blognudge and post 'em here...

I don't understand why wearing helmets would cause more premature deaths than it would prevent.... What is the logic there?
I used to love cycling as a child. The freedom it gave me from aged 8 upwards was immense and I loved getting away on my own.
I got knocked off my bike aged 19 - but it was my fault. I wasn't wearing a helmet and I emerged unscathed. I was very lucky.
There is no way I would cycle in London at all - ever. Of course it's green and quick - especially in London, but we're a car-based nation and it's just not safe, with or without a helmet.

Today I thought I was going for gold. I was wrong.

LatteLady · 04/08/2012 14:51

We have the Olympics coming to a farm near us... and we are getting some amazing sculptures as a result.

Hello all
This is my first (an probably only) post on the Olympics Golden Girls: The new generation of role models

LizzieZ · 06/08/2012 12:52

The best thing about the Olympics is London is now Northern (friendly)!!!

How I learned to love the hideous London 2012 logo - and even those irritating one-eyed mascots:

Sharing the Olympic Glory of London 2012

YoungDebbie · 06/08/2012 13:57

Sorry, only just spotted this thread (been too busy, er, watching the Olympics) so am catching up now with all the posts I've written about London 2012 so far!

This first one's about watching the Olympic torch, but still Olympic themed, so thought I'd add it anyway:

The Olympic Spirit Meets Britannia

and this one is a light-hearted piece about the Olympic sponsors:

In A Lather Over My Olympic Shampoo

And this one (the last for now, I promise!) was about my daughter's anticipation of London 2012, compared to the Olympics I remember from my childhood:

Keeping Up With My Sporty Daughter

Check out my own Olympic post here:

What makes an activity an Olympic sport?

My 9 year old DD wants to know!

And what would you turn into an Olympic Game?

YoungDebbie · 09/08/2012 23:56

And being published on Saturday morning will be another:

Which new Olympic sport would you choose?

(Planning ahead to make it go live in my absence on holiday - hope this doesn't count as cheating!)

Bex66 · 11/08/2012 11:42

Inspired by the Olympics but think its too late to take up athletics? Think again - its never too late!! Read my blog for amazing statistics on age and running performances - www.howilostweight.co.uk
