Parking ticket situation

I helped a friend out with her DC recently for the day while she recuperated from an op. I annoyingly got a parking ticket while at hers. Kind of my fault as I completely forgot about the parking restrictions. She has offered to pay half & I'm not sure whether to accept. It's a £55 jobbie so quite an outlay but i feel a bit cheeky accepting it. WWYD?!

I don't think I'd accept it unless I was desperate. Unless she'd misled you about the parking restrictions, it's your responsibility. I feel your pain though, had a parking ticket while doing a good deed recently.

Yeah that's the feeling I've got too. Like you say annoying but just one of those things. Not desperate so will just suck it upSmile

I think that's the right thing to do. Leaves your good deed untainted! Grin

That's a nice way to look at it, have regained my glow!

Is it council issued or a dodgy private company? If the latter just don't pay it!

Probably too late, but just to say - my parents recently got a parking ticket whilst looking after my DCs for me as a favour. It was £65 in total and I offered to pay half, just like your friend, as I felt like they'd put themselves out for me. They thought about it and ended up deciding to pay £40 and I paid £25. So maybe you could come to some arrangement where she contributes something but not necessarily half?
