Hello

I got my email from mumsnet today to say that I was now "offical" so just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm Emma and I blog at hertfordshiremummy.blogspot.com

I'm discovering that there is so much more to blogging than meets the eye and trying really hard to get to grips with twitter but i'm not really sure what I'm meant to do - I can never think of enough things to tweet about!

Anyway - I'm excited to be on here and looking forward to lots of blog talk!

Hello there!

Twitter can be a menace at first - I love it though and found it best to just jump in and talk about any old thing. I'm miserably shy and socially awkward in real life and find Twitter a lot of fun. I suppose the key thing is to forget about promoting your blog and just concentrate on chatter. I tend to only mention my blog when I've made a new post or have an old one that is especially pertinent to current affairs (unlikely really as I write about history and art but it happens) and spend the rest of my time rattling on.

My Twitter feed is @MmeGuillotine - give me a shout on there and I'll follow you and probably talk at you about panda bread, EELS, gin and er Aidan Turner. ;)

Good luck!

Hi MmeGuillotine

Thanks - I'll get onto twitter and follow you. I'm intrigued by the idea of panda bread!

I'm going to make an effort to get chatting on Twitter. I think I always worry that I am butting in to someones conversation and they will tell me to go away but I shall give it a go.

Looking forward to reading your blog - I love art and history.

No one minds people butting into their conversations - just think of it as a very drunk party. :)

Thanks very much! :)

VERY drunk party.
Marvellous!!!

skara · 13/07/2012 13:57

It quite often IS a drunk party. We have had many evenings of GIN based misbehaviour on there. You can find me as www.twitter.com/karamina

MmeGuillotine · 13/07/2012 13:58

Aha! It's YOU.

GIN AND EELS.

hertfordshiremummy · 13/07/2012 19:33

Mmmm Gin.

That what I will be having soon when the children finally go to sleep!

GIN AND EELS AND INIQUITY. What more does a girl need?

MmeGuillotine · 14/07/2012 11:59

NOTHING, that's what. NOTHING.
