eBay issue advice required

Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place, but have a rather drawn out eBay issue & I'm not sure how to handle it..
Deep breath....here goes.
Sold a pair of fab condition Juicy trackie bottoms. Dh got them for me, but they looked wrong on me & not my thing, so a year later here we are & sold them on eBay.
The buyer took a week to pay the £20, nut she did pay. Ten days later she emails me & tells me they have a hole in. They 100% do not have any holes. & wants a full refund.
I wasn't happy, but to save aggravation said if she sent them back in perfect condition I would refund. I heard nothing for a few days, got a little suspicious & looked at her profile & listings to find she was trying to sell an almost identical pair. The wording was odd. The photos looked similar to my trackies, but not quite as good condition, yet the words said the trousers were in perfect condition. Alarm bells started to ring. My worry was she had 2 pairs the same. Was going to sell my pair on & send me back her pair with holes.
I emailed her, she said she had made an error & should have taken her lusting down when she saw the holes, & they were mine but of course still wants a refund. I refused because I
felt she was being rather dodgy to say the least. I phoned eBay & they agreed, but said it was likely she would open a case against me If I refused to refund her.
So she has opened a case. But has also sent me 17 emails all of which are bizare.
One email states the trackies she purchased from me she was trying to re-sell, then in another she said she was confused & had 2 pairs the same. Another email says eBay told her to remove her listing, another email states they didn't.
I won't bore you any more, but basically the emails all contradict each other, they are all very odd. Quite clearly she is lying, covering her tracks or just barking mad.
I have emailed most of this to eBay, but I don't know what to do next.
I am loathed to refund to someone who is not being honest, & all the weird emails have made me pretty cross.
WWYD ? What do you think eBay will do ?
Will they look at all the emails ( all done via eBay ) and see she is barking. Or will they just say refund her anyway?
Any Ebayers out there who can give a bit of advice?
Thanks for reading if you managed to get to the end.
The word

I sell on eBay, but luckily not had any problems like this. I would be tempted to sit tight and see what eBay can sort out for you. From what I have heard from other ebayers, they must get it all the time.
A friend has bad payers and people saying clothing was stained when it wasn't.
If there is a dispute, surely eBay shouldn't allow her to give feedback on you until it gets resolved?

I would sit tight for now-Either that or tell her you are sending her emails to ebay for advice and that might scare her off if shes lying!

Tell her to return them and once you have confirmed from your security markings that they are the trousers you sold her you will refund. Your bluffing of course and she'll probably realise, but hopefully will give up.
