It has been a long time coming but finally I have found a toothbrush that gives a whole new dynamic to brushing my kids teeth! :o

I have 2 beautiful children, 1 boy aged 5 and 1 girl aged 3 and every morning and every night I encounter the same problem of trying to encourage them to brush their teeth for longer than a few seconds ... Hopefully I am not alone and most parents will be able to relate to this problem as did the friend of a friend who told me about these flashing toothbrushes she gets from Tesco's. My kids love them, they just press the button to make it flash and keep brushing until the flashing stops.

After discovering these little gems I have had no problems getting my kids to brush their teeth and I suggest anyone that is having the same problem as me to try them out as well.

Have a look at the link below to see what I am talking about.

These are good and so are the tooth tunes ones.

Ha ha - I just told my children they would end up with teeth like the people who go on Jeremy Kyle. They always brush well now.

We have these toothbrushes and they worked a treat to begin with. Now the novelty has worn off - I just don't get it. What is the big deal with toothbrushing? You would think I had asked them to donate all of their toys to the local children's home. They writhe on the floor, run away and do anything they can to avoid it. Now we have had to turn toothbrushing into an all-singing, all-dancing spectacular. I have to sing 'Brush-a-brush' - a song from one of the CDs they have on loop - and for at least 2 minutes. It is exhausting. If that doesn't work I find the technique one would use on a cat is the way forward - a GENTLE squeeze of the cheeks, toothbrush in and eye contact. Not ideal, granted.

Don't judge me. Wink
