Frequent flying when PG is it worth the risk?

Argh....I need some help! I've been moved into a new job at work, one that requires lots of European travel, prob 2-4 flights a week. First off, i'm still only at the TTC stage, needing patience!

I was at the airport yesterday and found myself blubbering away after being told I had to go through the body scanners. Ok, I think I was over reacting just a bit, esp as I'm not even PG yet! So, off to meet the team with my big puffy eyes and blotchy red nose-nice.

I asked the airport staff about the safety of body scanners and they said it subjected you to far less radiation than actually flying which sounded ok. But, radiation when flying? How naive am I? I never knew there was more radiation in the sky! I wasn't overly concerned about the risk of flying (assuming that one day I'm PG!) but checked it out and from what I can see flying every now and then when you're PG is ok but there's quite a few articles saying that frequent air travellers and air crew are at risk of exceeding safe radiation limits. A friend is cabin crew and they're stopped from flying as soon as the say they're PG and that's because of this cosmic radiation.

Anyone else know anything about this? I'm not even PG so dilemma is to continue with life as it is and hope get PG and then decide what to do and potentially have ro do it for a while until I can move on or say no now and have to find a new job? This is a PITA...WWYD?

Oh...and functional sex, really takes the fun out of it?!

i read this last night and assumed that someone with experience may reply, but it is a rather unique situation!!

i would suggest that you go to the doctors and ask these questions, they will be able to give you the best advice?

I commuted weekly to Dublin when PG - so 2 flights per week. I only stopped when I couldn't manage to get my bag in the overhead locker without assistance. Dd is a healthy 8 yo now.

The worst thing was not be able to take advantage of all the free gin in the 1st class lounge Wink

Thanks, I've booked a doc appointment so that should help up my mind at rest too.
