OOh so excited, it's my birthday today and I get to post the first post of the week - sadly when you get to my age these little things mean a lot!

Here's my post about how we celebrated the Jubilee and I took my daughter to the Wiggles - with the added difficulties of a wheelchair and complex needs - roll on the Olympics..

Monday was a Sam Barnes Google Recipe Challenge night for me, and the internet brought me a lush chorizo and lentil supper. And what I can tell you, is that the reason you must slice the chorizo really, really thinly is because otherwise your OH might get a piece stuck in his throat while helping himself to second because it is SOOO scrummy and then you might spend 3 hours in A&E. But I'm not allowed to blog about that. He made me promise.

RecipeJunkie · 13/06/2012 20:45

and I returned to St Hugh for his carrot hummus because the carrots were too soft to serve up as crunchy sticks.

You Can't Beat The Classics!
It has been a while since I have written a Can't Beat The Classics post. We have been very busy and I have had so many posts to write. My drafts folder is still full! As the weather has been miserable, I thought that it would be a good time to write one as we could all do with a giggle.

The classic that I am going to share with you today is centred around a very famous bunch of creatures. As well as a successful television show, they have had several hit songs and they have also performed live on daytime television and at Glastonbury!!!

Were you aware that it's Diabetes Awareness Week? As my only child and my husband are both diabetic, in our household every week is diabetes awareness week.

Here's my twopennorth to help spread the word. Please read it to help me spread the word. Thank you x

As a complete novice to Mumsnet I have just realised I should have posted my weekly blog. Here's hoping I'm doing this in the right place. lifeafterdebts.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/brave-hearts.html

Slightly off topic (well, a lot actually) but I was given £25 of Amazon vouchers on condition that I blogged about my book choices for a summer (ha ha) reading list, so here we are on choosing books, and books I have chosen
