Hope this meets with your approval. It was getting a bit full on the other thread so we've extended and now need to decorate the new space.

For the walls.

Have you downloaded Cabin Pressure or do you use YouTube?

OP posts:
CaveMum · 27/02/2012 22:33

I downloaded them. I got all 3 series, plus the Christmas episode, for about £20.

I love radio comedy, I have hours and hours of old shows like The Navy Lark, The Goon Show, Round The Horne, I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again, etc on my iPod.

CaveMum · 28/02/2012 07:23

Hmm, just read that Lucy Liu has been cast to play Watson opposite Jonny Lee Miller in the US rip off show Elementary. Words fail me!

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/02/2012 07:31

What!? How's that going to work?

Still no BC dreams here :( I'm working on it though.

LetUsPrey · 28/02/2012 07:44

No, just no. No. No. No.

No BC dreams here either. Yet.

OP posts:
CaveMum · 28/02/2012 08:10

I'm sure it's so that they can, at some point, get Sherlock and Watson in bed together Hmm

No BC dreams for ages here either. Strange when you think how much time I spend looking at pictures of him/listening to his voice.

Fluffymonster · 28/02/2012 08:36
! How did they manage to film this surreptitiously?
Fluffymonster · 28/02/2012 08:40

^ It's a bit naughty to post as it's apparently leaked footage...I feel a bit guilty. He looks great though!

CaveMum · 28/02/2012 08:41

JJ Abrams is going to hit the roof, but if it's out there what can you do?

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/02/2012 08:45

I think I might even enjoy the film.

CaveMum · 28/02/2012 09:30

BC interview about Star Trek and The Hobbit.

I can't open the link myself so presume its a video. I'll check it out in full when I get home tonight.

CaveMum · 28/02/2012 10:23

This link might be better, not a video after all.

TheAddict · 28/02/2012 11:15

Going back a few posts:
'Cross my heart and hope to die, terrapins tickle me if I lie' was actually a line from 'I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again' (late 60s - early 70s): I think it was Bill Oddie who came up with it.

CaveMum · 28/02/2012 11:44

Oo, Ta for that Addict. I'll go back and listen to my old ISIRTA's.

If I recall correctly, Bill Oddie did have a bit of a thing for terrapins, and gibbons Grin

Saltire · 28/02/2012 12:58

Well I've finished watching Small Island

My grandad and granny lived in south London after the war, a lot of their neighbours were Jamaican. my grandad tol me a story once about when he worked on the buses as a driver. One of his Jamaican neighbours got a job as a bus conductor, at the time buses had drivers and conductors, and none of the white drivers would work with this black man. So my Grandad went in to see the bosses and said he'd work with him. half the bus drivers stopped speaking to my grandad(and my granny) and a few of the neighbours did too!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 28/02/2012 16:39

The 5 Live interview is so sweet. He does sound genuinely homesick, and although appreciative of the fact that he's in LA and at the Oscars, nicely amused by and distanced from it all as well.

I liked 'Martin Scorsese.' 'Met him.' Grin

Colin Paterson is a right weirdo.

Seraphine1 · 28/02/2012 17:57

You guys are quiet today!

Just listened to the Radio5 interview - he sounded exhausted, and still had a party to go to. Do you think anyone ever gets any sleep in LA on Oscar night?

Did you hear the latest Sherlock news? The American version "Elementary" has just cast their Watson (to play next to Johnny Lee Miller).

Can you guess?????

Lucy Liu.

Seriously! What are they thinking? Not because she's a woman, but because she's completely wrong for the character. I don't plan on watching it anyway because I think it's going to fail miserably and won't get picked up for rebroadcast over here in the UK anyway.

Or so I hope. Just watch the BBC version and see how it's done right.

CaveMum · 28/02/2012 17:57

Finally managed to watch the Star Trek video, SQQQUUUUEEEEAAAALLLL!

Live watching them mark the fight sequence at the end, it's almost balletic.

CaveMum · 28/02/2012 18:01

Seraphine, [cough] see my post at 7.20 this morning Wink

I totally agree with what you've said though. The BBC are going to be watching Elementary very closely and if it goes a millimetre near Sherlock, their lawyers will be filing lawsuits left right and centre.

Do we think JLM would have spoken to BC before taking the role? They're supposed to be friends after all.

LetUsPrey · 28/02/2012 18:21

Her character is going to be called Joan Watson FFS. How long did it take them to dream that one up?

Had a shit day at work so I need some BCness. Going to watch the Star Trek video.

LetUsPrey · 28/02/2012 18:28

And now I'm feeling a bit better. That video is amazing. With the hitting and the kicking. Phwoar! On some of the stills from the set you can see his pecs through his top. I may need to re-check this again.

LetUsPrey · 28/02/2012 18:31

Sorry. Am a bit tired but I don't like to disappoint.
