Place marking. Thank you @Madagascary

@Madagascary causing trouble elsewhere 🤣

HaloDolly · 10/03/2026 19:05

Wow, this has moved on! I’m nearly a year post op and couldn’t be happier. Best thing I ever did. I’m still having trouble getting used to the fact I can wear pretty much anything Smile

Lolol. But it's TRUUUUUE

welcome everyone

this is the thread for people considering or about to have breast reduction.
Almost all of it self financed, but I think a couple snuck into the NHS lucky them.
It's the most life changing opportunity. I have mine 2 1/2 years ago, they lopped 2.5 kg of and I went down three or 4 cup sizes. I also seem to lose about 10 years in age because I look less matronly.

Does anyone still bend forward as if they're going to scoop their boobs into a bra?
I noticed I was doing it the other day

for reference, because I had a bit of underarm kind of "auxiliary tissue" I think it's called I had some liposuction under my arms.

I've always felt common self-conscious of my chubby kind of underarms even when I was a child I remember having it. That uppes the price of mine and I have To say that the recovery from liposuction was way more than the breast reduction
I don't know if anyone else would agree, but the breast reduction recovery isn't actually painful. It just feels like you're wearing tight clothes on sunburn.
I was off work for two weeks

I’m the OG, three and a half years. Anchor incision and I didn’t have liposuction. I paid just under £8k I think. I went to a local surgeon who had done the same procedure on someone I know but I did look around.

I had three weeks off work. Probably didn’t need that long but could have it paid so it was a no brainer. It wasn’t painful and I only had a dose of ibuprofen the day after. Nothing else.

I lost a good few cup sizes but I have lost 2.5 stone since my surgery so I am in an E cup these days. My back size got smaller but boobs didn’t shrink during the weight loss. I wear Lemonade Dolls bras most of the time.
I never had back pain but definitely had poor posture and I looked ridiculous.

Definitely one of the best decisions of my life. I fucking miserable before.

Confession time: does anybody find it hard on threats about the style struggles with big boobs not to say "go and have a reduction!" all the time?

I know it's dreadful but honestly, if only they knew.

I find it harder not to go ballistic when someone says you should be grateful, I’d love to have big boobs.

NO you want bigger boobs. Not boobs so large they are painful and unmanageable.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had a second reduction? I had my first in 2012 and it was fantastic. Best thing I ever did.
Unfortunately, they have grown again- not as large but I would like another reduction. And as I am now 61 they make me look very matronly and I am back wearing underwired bras which I find extremely uncomfortable!
My original surgeon has now retired so I am looking for recommendations in London/ South east. And especially if you have had a second reduction.
Thank you!

Sorry. Just one !

I had mine done in Jan 25 after reading ALL the threads on here. Had 10 days downtime and then WFH and limited outings for about 4 weeks. No issues with recovery (I think the key is to really rest for a week or so after) and results are so much better than I could have hoped. 32GG to 32DD. Under boob scars are noticeable on the outside edges but I’m v pale and thin skinned so seems a bit inevitable.

I don’t know about second time rounders (honestly live in fear of them regrowing but even though I’ve put on some bastard weight since then, they haven’t) but my surgeon was Ms Milroy at New Victoria Hospital in SW London - an excellent experience all round. £9k.

I'd love to reduce my 36GG post menopause monstrosities - formerly 36B. Nothing suits me.

I was under the impression I could only go down 2 cup sizes so they'd still be large.
Is this true?

Madagascary · 01/06/2026 18:54

They can't guarantee any cup size at all, that's a total myth.
and of course, with the reduction you get a lift

I went down from probably a 34F, to a 34D and can go braless if I want to( but wouldn't run!)

OP posts:
Madagascary · 01/06/2026 18:56

Also would agree that menopause isn't kind to boobs

I had no idea why they'd got so enormous until I read this on MN!
