What was the reason for your 21 week abortion?

Strawberrryfields · 27/11/2025 20:50

How many children do you have?! What was your best birth and why?

MidnightPatrol · 27/11/2025 20:52

If you had one piece of advice for a first time mother giving birth soon, what would it be?

I find it so hard to know what to say without massively projecting - beyond a ‘be prepared for any outcome, because you can’t plan what will happen’.

Most and least painful

How do you stay positive and manage anxiety in a pregnancy after loss?

Was told at the 20 week scan baby had heart problems, possible chromosome defect and cleft lip and palate, i had 2 young children already and sadly didn’t feel i could continue knowing baby would need so much medical care and attention knowing it would affect my kids aswell xx

Good advice, my advice would be to concentrate on one contraction at a time- not the ones to come, and stay calm/relax inbetween, with my first I panicked alot about the pain, and then knowing i had more pains to come made me worse which made the whole thing more painful i believe xx

My first loss was actually my abortion at 21 weeks, i have to say when i found out i was pregnant again i was so scared i did consider abortion and sterilisation, unfortunately that was my missed miscarriage which i had a D&C for as i had seen my mum nearly die from miscarriage so that scared me too, when i became pregnant again i was sure i had lost that baby too as i had no symptoms i had a early scan at 9 weeks due to my mmc and it showed twins, it was a very hard scary pregnancy, i think if i didn’t have my other children to keep me busy and keep me smiling i wouldn’t have been able to carry on after it all, but it was definitely worth it for my rainbow twins xx
