I've had DBSs over the years for various things I helped with as a parent, then when I was a governor and also for my profession. They are likely out of date though so would need renewal.

Thanks I'll give them a ring.

I listened to the Leading podcast with Gillian Keegan. She talked about how standards have improved under the Tories. If you heard it…. What is your response? Alastair Campbell said most teachers would take issue with what she said.

I didn't listen to it. I began teaching in 2006 and since then, the schools I have worked in have drastically changed and I believe this is representative of the nation. Gillian Keegan is delusional (or rather just making it all up).

Funding cuts mean less adults, less resources, less trips, less extra curricular activities, and even school buildings falling into disrepair. I worked at a school where one whole corridor of classes had to be condemned as it had become unstable. All this whilst teachers are given more and more responsibility, paperwork and pressure. I've been in staff meeting where the head teacher has been crying because of the pressure.

I love my job and I'm really good at it but education in its current state is getting less and less appealing. Please vote the tories out, for kids', and future kids' sakes.
