Thinking this might too niche a subject for an AMA but could be quite useful as so many more children/people are being diagnosed with it & today marks the end of ARFID Awareness Week
Ask me anything…

If he eats enough from these foods to maintain a reasonably healthy weight and function adequately day to day it would be likely to be selective eating rather than ARFID which involves physical and psychological deficit. Both can be features of autism but there would need to be other pervasive developmental issues around communication and interaction in particular.
