Posting in case I can answer questions which might help others in a similar situation….

I know this is an old post. However, in case anyone else with the same problem comes across this forum, there are open and even upright MRI scanners available for patients with Claustrophobia. My GP referred me for an MRI scan in an open MRI machine which was far more comfortable than a traditional tunnel scanner.
