Booked into a private hospital
Researched the surgeon who has 'outstanding' reviews online so booked in with her

Why do you want to do this?

What are your reasons for wanting surgery?

Do you know you need to be in a financial position to change them every ten years? Have you watched lots abd lots of botched episodes that always include a ducked up boob job and if you have, how has this possibly not put you off?!

Bigger or smaller?

I wanted to go bigger and actually when she explained the risks I'm really considering whether it's worth it.
1 in 10 risk of capsular contracture has put me off.
I would be ready for the financial side but the recovery and possible problems are making me reconsider it

@l2b2

Why do you want to do this?

After long term breastfeeding 3 children I wanted to have nice boobs and feel more confident

I almost got implants until a close friend got them first and suffered terribly with breast implant illness. She had them in for 6 months and got them removed, she says it was the biggest mistake of her life and has crippled her financially. I'm now considering an uplift instead. Does thr thought of breast implant illness scare you?

Yes definitely, the thought of my kids suffering because I was ill due to this isn't appealing to me. There's alot to think about I'm going to really take at least a year and see if I'm still as keen next summer rather than rushing into anything

Also she says her breasts look worse than before, because the skin has been stretched by the implants leaving them saggier than before. But because getting them taken out also cost thousands she can't afford an uplift either now

I had implants to even out extreme asymmetry about 14 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. They looked incredibly natural and I've successfully breastfed my DD for a year.
Yes there are risks, I spent a long time researching surgeons etc.
They're a lot bigger now after weight gain and bf-ing and I will look to have them re-done and possibly reduced in a few years time.
There are a lot of horror stories out there but my story is a very positive one.

Thanks for the positive input!
I know the odds are in my favour but I'll need to really decide if its something I'd be willing to risk and I will take time to decide if its going to be right for me.
So glad you are happy with yours and I bet they look fab

I had mine 3 years ago and it’s been the best thing I ever did.
Like you, I spent a long time researching various surgeons and was very happy with my decision. I did it for me and I’m so much happier in my self and so much more confident.

My sister has implants 24 years ago, they are still in, looking good and not causing any issues.
She's just had a mammogram and the radiologist commented that they looked good and were not causing any issues.
Good luck OP!

How much does it cost these days OP?

Do you have to get them replaced every ten years or is that not definite?

I dont think I would bother personally. I used to hate my nose and obsessed over getting surgery but now in my 40s I couldn't give a shite. But I understand why people feel the need to do these things x

Ask what the £5000 includes. Is it the shape & manufacturer you want? What after care does it include? Where is the hospital you’ll be staying in.

Mine was more than that a few years ago and my cousin had hers last year and paid almost £7000
