I’m sure you feel better which is great, but I’m almost certain the Botox etc won’t have made you “prettier”

CardiFree · 20/10/2019 16:02

Lots of women have naturally great boobs even on a small frame (Look at the old page 3's!).

Are you ever embarrassed to admit they're fake to a partner? Or worried about scars, how they feel?

JavaQ · 20/10/2019 16:10

I am sure you have always been lovely. And long may it continue.

celebrityskin · 20/10/2019 16:36

So what came first.. weight loss journey then Botox/fillers etc? Or other way around?

Was there a particular trigger/motivator for you to change things so dramatically?

Thanks x

BooFuckingHoo2 · 21/10/2019 11:53

What do the boobs feel like and is there a downside to having bigger ones? Do women treat you differently as well as men?

At first they felt a lot heavier, but I got used to it pretty quickly, i haven’t experienced any real downsides to it yet other than not being able to wear certain tops because it just looks obscene.

Bizarrely I don’t feel women have treated me any differently, which contradicts everything I have read about women being hostile towards attractive women. Some of my male friends girlfriends don’t like them hanging out with me, but I’m not sure that’s to do with my looks. If anything women have been friendlier towards me, but I think that’s because I’m a lot more confident now.

I’m afraid my diet story is pretty boring as I was just really strict until I lost the weight I wanted!

I’m not really embarrassed about my boobs as it’s so common in my age group nowadays, the scars aren’t particularly bad either.

I lost the weight alongside having the facial work done as both were a gradual process.

I don’t think there was a particular trigger, I just made more money as my career progressed and thought it was high time I looked more polished! Also I was well aware I was single and getting older and I very much want a family and children, so at the time I thought I’d be more likely to get that if I was better looking - I’ve since come to the conclusion that that’s not necessarily true. Yes I get more attention off men but they absolutely still fuck me around the same 😂.

KnickerBockerAndrew · 21/10/2019 11:58

Are you happier?

Also- Do you think you get a different type of male attention now? Do you think that, seeing as you want to settle down and have a family, that your more polished and surgically enhanced look will attract the kind of bloke who'd make a good husband and dad? (I know that sounds bitchy, I don't mean to. It's just that I've had a similar journey to you, and I feel that when I was plainer, I attracted far nicer men than the parade of bellends that come on to me now...)

BooFuckingHoo2 · 21/10/2019 12:25

This will sound very shallow but honestly I’m much happier!

And I haven’t noticed a change in the “quality” of men, just that there’s more of them. I haven’t experienced that my new look has put off the “decent” men (that I know).

Will you need to replace your boobs every 10 years?

Lobsterquadrille2 · 21/10/2019 18:29

I'm interested in how changed you really are ..... if you have more confidence and feel happier, that's great, just that I'm sure you were never "ugly" in the first place. Do you feel that that's "it" for good, or is it too soon to say?

Preggosaurus9 · 22/10/2019 10:01

28?! Oh my goodness. That is very young to have all that done.

Still if it has made you more comfortable in yourself then more power to you!

Ginnymweasley · 22/10/2019 10:13

Well done on the weight loss. I will say that I'm glad you feel happier but I do think it's sad that a woman my age (I'm 29) is having botox and fillers etc to look what we have been told is pretty. I'm sure you were equally as attractive before. I think we are losing what makes people unique in this push to be attractive and conventionally attractive. Are you not worried about the upkeep as you age? Do breast implants have to be replaced every decade? Also obviously as you age your skin loses elasticity etc are you not concerned that to keep yourself happy you are going to have more and more botox etc?

Phoebesgift · 22/10/2019 10:21

Are you blonde now? I've always been conventionally attractive but since going from dark brunette to blonde I have had so much more interest from men. Could it be all you needed was some highlights?Wink

GrumpyHoonMain · 22/10/2019 10:23

Do you feel sometimes that you took the easy way out with plastic surgery and that perhaps the weight loss and a healthy lifestyle / better grooming and style might have made you prettier long term?

BooFuckingHoo2 · 22/10/2019 11:15

I expect the implants will have to be replaced every ten years according to my surgeon and I’m well aware the Botox/fillers are likely going to be a lifetime thing!

I’m not blonde, I’m a sort of chestnut brown colour with different brown highlights Smile.

I did both the healthy lifestyle/grooming and the surgery (which in my opinion I definitely needed).

This was me was bullied over my looks all.through school I always had a good figure it was more my hair and face .but my looks dramatically changed late teens now I'm constantly complimented on my looks even strangers in the street . But I suffer terribly from low self esteem because of the bullying.

Bluntness100 · 22/10/2019 11:29

Gosh some bitchy comments on here.

It's very sad.

Phoebesgift · 23/10/2019 14:25

What are you on about Bluntness? Where are the bitchy comments?

Kaykay06 · 23/10/2019 14:28

Why not happy with just weight loss?
Do you like being plastic?
Do you know the long term side effects of pumping crap into your body and adding bits to make parts bigger?
Pretty in the eyes of who?

iamtinkabella · 23/10/2019 19:08

Just to clarify and i havent read every reply. Put to the posters saying that OP is too young to have botox is incorrect. Professional aesthetic nurses recommend that people have botox from an earlier age as it prevents them from needing excess amounts later on. My Nurse (who also plays a very important role in a well known childrens hospital as a nurse as her other job) gave me this advice when i was contemplating botox when i was 21. I did get botox at 21, nobody would ever know, i dont look 'fake' or 'weird' i just simply dont have as many wrinkles. Also for the people who would probably say that i shouldnt have many wrinkles at the age of 21... i didn't have loads but i did have quite a few due to my eyesight and sensitivity to ghe sun caused me to squint and get many wrinkles in my eye area and frown lines. The botox also miraculously solved my frequent migraines! Best thing i ever did Smile

InkyToesies · 24/10/2019 19:31

Hi OP. First, congratulations on the weight loss and for posting this in Ask Me Anything. I have some questions...

You mention that you ensured the practitioners who treated you went for a natural look. How did you communicate this to them? Did you show them pics of looks you wanted / wanted to avoid or what?

How did you research the practitioners, and what governed your eventual choice/s? Any dos and don'ts based on your experience?

If you're in London / the South East, would you mind private messaging me the names of the people you used (and anyone to give a swerve to in your experience).

You've mentioned the attention you get upthread, but can I ask about any differences you notice in how people treat you generally, i.e. in shops, public transport, libraries etc. I've been thin and fat (not at the same time!) and my experience is that fat people are treated less well even if all other things are equal, such as cheerfulness, dress sense, grooming and so on.

Finally, is there a little bit of you that feels - I don't know the word really - contempt? cynicism? for people, particularly men I suppose - who are attentive / want to be chummy, when previously they'd have ignored you or even been openly dismissive?

Thanks (and well done!)

Numptydumptycat · 24/10/2019 19:38

I would reserve my judgement on whether it would take all of that work to take someone from ugly to pretty because obviously I cannot see you but I will say that it is awesome that you feel way more confident now. That, in and off itself, would make you very attractive I suspect, confidence is very attractive. Well done on the weight loss. It is a massive achievement and I am sure you are way healthier for it.

OlderthenYoungerNow · 24/10/2019 19:39

How much do you spend monthly, or quarterly or however it works out, on maintenance of your look?

Did you save up for the surgery or get a loan?

I'm after some procedures but just can't afford it. Can't even get my hair done more than twice a year. After 2 kids I feel so unhappy with how I look. I miss youth!

EdWinchester · 24/10/2019 19:46

I would imagine you were attractive to start with as the procedures you've had would not change you from ugly to pretty.

Why did you have a boob job? I can't imagine why anyone would do it to go bigger, but to lift saggy boobs, I can understand.

MadnessInMethod · 24/10/2019 19:51

Do you think you genuinely are prettier, or do you think it’s more that your happiness and confidence shines through?
