What's been your weirdest request? Do you have people ask you to fix "problems" you can't see?

Sharptic · 10/07/2018 22:25

Are there any procedures you would never have yourself, based on your experience?

lovestuck · 10/07/2018 22:27

Yes slot. But I realise it's their face and it's all they see every time they look in the mirror. I am very honest though and tell them if what they are pointing out is an issue or not.

Oh and bum injections with filler. And a text asking for a penis enlargement 😩

I wouldn't bother with PRP meso or TCA peels. I wouldn't ever have temple filler.

Other than that no.

Thank you @lovestuck Grin

Sharptic · 10/07/2018 22:34

Thank you. What procedure seems to get the most consistently good results?

AtrociousCircumstance · 10/07/2018 22:36

Why wouldn’t you bother with that peel?

Cowardlycustard2 · 10/07/2018 22:37

Is it true that facial fillers can cause permanent blindness and is this something you have ever come across in your practice?

awishes · 10/07/2018 22:40

Hello I have indented acne scars, rolling, with age they are looking worse, is there anything that would actually improve their look? It blights my life. Thank you.

lovestuck · 11/07/2018 05:36

hands down botox.

It just causes so much downtime and I don't think the results are worth it. Chemical peels are much more sophisticated now and i have them frequently. However I have some patient who love it, and enjoy the peeling as they feel they've had a "proper" treatment which will have made a difference.

Yes, although extremely rare, it is true. The blindness itself is caused by filler being placed into a blood vessel. There are safe areas to inject and those that carry huge risk. Glabella filler and nose filler are the riskiest (and I don't treat them with filler). I am a huge advocate for this being a medic only practice for this reason.

Aw, I can understand how these must bother you. Nothing is going to completely get rid of a scar. Even surgically a scar would have to be replaced with another scar IYKWM. However they can be softened with a fine filler then a course of peels.

Do you have to monitor what celebs are having done for business planning? (For those who'll copy)

No I tend not too, however get many requests if someone has become popular (lots of megans cheeks past few weeks) so will do a little research.

What is your opinion of Thread Lifts? PDO or S Lifts I believe they are called? Are they worth having done, given the relatively short time they last vs cost?

Littlechocola · 12/07/2018 08:18

Have you ever refused a treatment on someone?
Also, is there anything you miss about the NHS? Grin

AliasGrape · 12/07/2018 08:22

Is there anything can be done for dark circles under eyes?
