Have found these threads fascinating.

In the unlikely event everyone's not bored to tears by now... ask away!

Ooh very excited to see this one! How do you keep your energy levels up across flights/ shifts and also remain positive (am thinking there's a lot of emotional labour in this job)?

Any top tips for coping with a long haul flight?

ShotsFired · 09/07/2018 10:07

@BayBeeBumperCar

Drink as much water as you can, move frequently, try and sleep (or pay the cost of business class so you get a flat bed - once you have you will never go back! Sleeping 6-8hrs of a 14+hr flight is brilliant!).
Work out if you are an aisle or window seat person and book accordingly - pros and cons to each.

Consider paying for lounges if you have to transit for a long time (or even ask airports for transit offers and local tours).

Economy long haul is just the pits. It's just a case of accepting it will be shitty, digging in and surviving it.

northern I hope not my DH is an airline pilot 😂

northern I hope not my DH is an airline pilot 😂

I also hope they don't because 3 of my lot are and at times two of them will be on the same flight.

But that aside the question really was in poor taste and says a lot about the poster.

Which class of cabin do you work in?

And is it a national full service carrier or a LCC?

After take off for premium cabins are crew told not to serve drinks for a while?

Finding this interesting as I travel a lot mostly in business class but a mix of airlines.

Do you ever tell parents to control their children? (And I'm not being goady!) My last flight had a child in the aisles in the way of staff.
