🤣

I finally just found a good use for Copilot. I asked it to summarise this thread for me specifically wrt Churchill and I'm now up to speed without wading through pages of TRA obfuscation, neat. It was also quite dismissive of the "small number of posters who disagree".

WeMeetInFairIthilien · 22/10/2026 07:07

Seriously! I have meetings all day today. I could really do without that earworm...especially as they are with a Mr T!

Shedmistress · 22/10/2026 07:29

I was once hit by a wave...of nostalgia for Dirk Benedict and landed in an gentleman's lunchbox. The horror the horror.

That part of the night was hilarious. A right crack up.

Ah, Churchill. An enduring part of history, with those immortal words “I ain’t getting on no plane, fool”. Iconic.

Clearly not the experience of the masses of disinterested women in this issue.

As JKR said, experience shapes our fears.

You probably mean uninterested.

OneoftheWeddingPeople · 22/10/2026 07:48

One of Russell’s Brands victims thought he was gay hence letting him into her room. Several of his offences involve cornering women in toilets. That case is just a perfect example
of why women had to fight this colonisation of our spaces. A minority of men’s feelings don’t trump even one woman’s safety. Sorry not sorry,

Can I ask lovely people of this thread….is Coolfor the Lacksie of this thread?

Blinking hell Jo. You've made me whell up with pride that yet again you have said exactly what needs saying.. I shall be sending this to my friend to help them explain to others who sit on the fence with this issue.. Because as you said..it doesn't affect them. And I have a bit of a tear in my eyes..

I am coming to that conclusion.

2021x · 22/10/2026 07:56

Very clear.

Happy that she is calling out women who claim to be "Trans-inclusive" feminists.

Glad she highlighting the women who are just trying to get on with their day/work and who have this disruption championed by people for whom it doesn't affect them.

The only note would have been to include "Harry Potter wannabe TV Hosts who use their platform to publicly bully young women coerced into changing in front of a male", but I am personally out for a bit more blood.

I'm still snorting how anyone can hear Churchill say he loves it when a plan comes together.

😁

And then, not getting that JKR says she's as much like Churchill as Willoughby is a woman. How can you not get that!

The schools appear to be failing people these days.

The success of the Yalta Conference hinged on Churchill telling Stalin to “quit your jibber jabber!”

You must of missed that there was a fair amount of humorous commentary of Rowling a billionaire smoking a cigar on a super yacht quoting Churchill's

"I love it when a plan comes together".

JKR was certainly onto something about elites.

On a serious note, did you really think that this was all about JKR comparing herself to Churchill? And yet literally ALL the responses were pointing out if was about the A Team?

And that WAS the humour in the whole post?

Is your programming malfunctioning as even if she DID compare herself to Churchill, due to a school renaming their 'internal house groupings', it would have been the SCHOOL comparing her to him by putting them into the same bracket in the first place?

Do you even understand the basics of any of this whole argument?

Or do you think Churchill was in the A Team, or that the A Team helped win the 2nd World War?

Is it all so baffling if it isn't 'the code got corrupted...SNAFU'

Haha!!

it's so chuckle worthy. It's the juxtaposition between Churchill and Mr T.

You'd be hard pushed to invent a more comedic comparison. 🤣🤣

Didn't Black Grape sing about Churchill being a Black Man, or Batman or something?

I remember reading her first essay on this subject and bursting into tears, she summed up what so many women felt and we really did need her to publish it.
Thank you so much JK Flowers

I clearly remember that reading that essay was my wake up moment. Until then I had no idea what had been going on. Since reading it I've tried in my own way to fight this worthy cause.

And that's why TRAs hate her so much.

Maybe a few Tandora vibes too?
