The point you are missing is we don't fear all men the same. Being alone with a old man or gay man or well dressed man or trans woman doesn't inspire the fear in people on the ground hence the support of trans women.

JKR's generalisations about men don't work in reality when it comes to personal experiences. Context matters.

I never dismissed any such thing. I'm simply explaining that conclusions reached from personal experiences works both ways & as such JKR doesn't understand the inconsistency of her own position.

But you dismissed my actual experience with trans women. The one before the sex offender assaulted my colleague, waved his penis and called me things I’ve never been called by a woman. Not all trans women of course. Just like NAMALT. I have a lovely male partner (he’s got long hair, I think he’s male). Males as a sex class are problematic though, statistically so. Even the ones that larp as women. Truth hurts.

She was saying that some women have had no negative experiences but have never been put in the position of those who have been forced to change in the same room as them, for example. And that often the more privileged jobs don't tend to involve having to change your clothes.

And that she judges them for their lack of empathy with these women. And I agree with her.
