Coming back into room

nauticant · 14/10/2026 14:06

You're right. They're so keen on safeguarding the public's money that it was the £1 that prevented the NHS from settling. The other stuff's just a distraction.

There are many astonishing things here but one of the most astonishing for me is that the NHS appear to be doing this, to spend all this time, money, and resources on litigation, to get a CEO to beclown himself, to run the risks of something going wrong in the defence simply to avoid providing a proper apology that might go against the precepts of genderism.

And a £1 settlement fee. Don't forget the £1! 😂

We cannot trust anyone can we? Potential cover up of an audit exposing under 16s being given puberty blockers is beyond scandalous. As the CEO AD should have been exposing this scandal in his trust not hiding it.

Where in history did people in medicine truly stop using common sense and their moral compass. The sorry tale of trans is awful in how it has altered society. Facts matter.

Trans is truly an over valued belief.

Trans is truly an over valued belief.

Indeed it's over-valued even by people who are not trans identified themselves. Quite apart from people like Dr Hall who are in the grip of their personal trans ideation.

It's all very Galloping Cure.

Over the years, after quite a few shining examples, I've come to believe that most of the 'great and the good' in positions like this, got there because they went to the right school and know/are related to the right people. I've certainly seen one son of a director ending up bankrupting a previously highly successful company, and another get promoted through the ranks to a high profile position, without actually doing any work.

Don't forget arse kissing, Parkinson's 1st Law, officials only promote subordinates not competitors.

mateysmum · 14/10/2026 13:56

I got really lost yesterday, so Nick's analysis is really helpful and demonstrates quite clearly the madness of the defence. Thx Nick.

I have a phrase that I recite to myself when reading or listening to people like this - how did someone as stupid as you get to wield so much power over the rest of us?

I use it rather a lot lately.

DontStopMe · 14/10/2026 13:47

Just wanted to add, thanks to all those updating and explaining: I wouldn't be able to keep track otherwise and it is all still truly shocking.

CatProcrastinator1 · 14/10/2026 13:46

Thank you for posting that @Thingybob

Lots of jaw clang happening for me today!

Boiledbeetle · 14/10/2026 13:27

Usually in these tribunals I tend to assume that most of the top people they are questioning are probably generally decent at their job, and just have got themselves in a mess over trans issues.

But this guy! I would bet my house that everything he deals with he deals with it as badly as this case. He's just so (I'm struggling to find a word that wouldn't get me deleted)

And thanks @BettyBooper for the c&p!

Eta and especially, thanks as always to the TTers for giving us the material to c&p. Must be a hard job.

Is Naomi watching today, does anyone know? Someone said Nick is not I think.

Edited

She is.

ETA Nick said he wasn't going to be, but I think he had to be to try and sort out bundle access, as he was the journalist they were discussing

Adam Doyle, Sussex NHS Commissioners chief executive and SHCP leader, added: “Everyone has a role to play in ensuring that our people are treated with dignity, respect and compassion – whether you are a member of the public or a member of our health and care staff. We can all take steps to becoming a trans ally by educating ourselves; listening to our trans colleagues and patients and avoiding assumptions.”

This is the statement AD put out (coincidentally) at the same time as Sam Hall was make her complaint, lots of important people were having meetings, emails were getting lost, notes were not being taken, AP was being appointing to lead an internal investigation and the GMC were dropping their investigation. Have I got that right?
