Single-sex services
The guidance reiterates that the revised EHRC Code clarifies that single-sex services, such as hospital accommodation, should be provided on the basis of biological sex.
A breach of the same-sex accommodation guidance occurs at the point when one (or more) of the following principles is not met:

Women should not have to share sleeping accommodation with men. Men should not have to share sleeping accommodation with women.
Women should not have to share toilet or bathroom facilities with men. Men should not have to share toilet or bathroom facilities with women.
Women should not have to walk through an area occupied by men to reach toilets or bathrooms, excluding corridors. Men should not have to walk through an area occupied by women to reach toilets or bathrooms, excluding corridors.
Women-only day rooms should be provided in mental health inpatient units.

Lived experience...btw, the lived experience of women (changing rooms/rape crisis centres/breastfeeding groups/prisons/etc) re (that's for you, @MyAmpleSheep🙂) the inclusion of TiM in them, never seems to be raised or seen to have any importance.

Personally I think he should be made to stay in that chair until he admits he's a completely incompetent, under qualified, overpaid buffoon who has absolutely no idea what he's doing and agrees to pay back his unearned remuneration for however long he's been in the role. It's no wonder the NHS is in a complete mess with numpties like this in charge.

This. The genderwang shit show is bad enough. It also throws light on why the NHS is so ineffective across the board. It’s because it has incompetent, lazy, complacent tits like this at the top of the hierarchy.

The apology I gave after Durant outcome was genuine even if C may not have experienced it that way. I know many people will judge whether correct or not. I left that meeting thinking ... The THIC matter was wrong and I recognise org response to that should have been better.

CM LB says that as a black woman, at times, things can get out of hand, there have been times she took off an NHS badge because she was aware that the NHS was seen as transphobic. Your staff need to hide NHS badges?
AD As you know I had a close working relationship with LB at the B&H CCG, she was active raising issues of race and ethnic diversity. I would have hoped she would have raised these with me.

AD when I red claim and looked at inpep ix felt right thing to do. What then ensued not what I hoped/ expected. What we got was one complaint from SH and another set from C and Flynn ix by Durant. I take recos to take forward in a new organisation.

I was given assurances workshop was challenging but SG team rebuilding. Culture? The objective measures re appraisals, concerns raised all improving. All things were heading to right direction. I am clear that THIB thing should not have happened.

AD Yes I agree that it fell well short and not what expected
