Sorry I can't share the article, but liked this:

What is the funniest thing that has happened in your job?

As a result of my work in this area, apparently becoming an object of admiration on Mumsnet [the Internet parents' forum] - improbable in many ways.

If RMW is so keen to fix errors that might be professionally damaging they should be hurriedly working on a revised edition of their pisspoor book. www.legalfeminist.org.uk/2021/09/02/a-practical-guide/

Must be noted that SB is only a QC because she is Attorney General i.e. she was given a job by Boris Johnson. Prior to her elevation to the position she was not a QC.

It must also be noted that the excellent Robin White (who is an expert on trans law) and readers of this thread will know was on the winning legal team in the of Stonewall v Allison Bailey says she has delivered "a master class in how to misinterpret Equality Law"

twitter.com/moira_robin/status/1557357737947832322

I will take the advice of such an esteemed lawyer before I take the advice of one of Boris Johnson's cabinet ministers.

How these posts come back to bite the authors.

I will take the advice of such an esteemed lawyer before I take the advice of one of Boris Johnson's cabinet ministers.

You mean this Robin White (I also note for work the Moira is dropped)?

www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/4539958-big-update-on-rape-crisis-legal-challenge?page=20

The one who just happened to think it was entirely appropriate to not only seek their client's permission to, but to actually post on a thread on MN where a clearly vulnerable and distressed woman has been seeking support. A barrister that will be cross-examining that very woman!

If that is not an act of intimidation, to just let that poster know that Robin was watching her thread where she is updating on her case, then maybe Hearache can explain why not.

White also tweeted Allison Bailey before the trial as well.

But if posters are willing to also overlook all those statements being made by Stonewall representatives and still support 100% of what those people do, and Stonewall by extension, then the highly damaging actions such as intimidating a woman seeking to actually have her rape crisis centre provide her a female only single sex group for support by posting on her thread will be easy to dismiss as well.

Do you still 100% support Robin White, Hearache? And believe they are still 'excellent' and 'esteemed'?

I really think that Ben Cooper is a far more professional QC than White could ever hope to be.

Helleofabore · 07/09/2022 12:40

I reckon that Stonewall should get Ben Cooper to start advising them rather than Alex Sharpe after this little gem about the Piss protest.

Tweeted: 22.24 06 Sept 22 @ AlexSharpe64 with quote tweet of the vice article about the Piss protest.

"This kind of art protest will be mystifying to gender conservative dullards"

www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/4628118-protest-at-ehrc-hq?page=1

This is someone who does voluntary work with Stonewall. And think it is art that a male wearing a posh frock and a semi erection pours urine over themselves while wearing a duck face mask in protest about females wanting to maintain single sex toilets.

Ahh.... yes. Superb messaging that! Full of hidden value and meaning that will ultimately support males having access to female single sex spaces, PLUS how tolerant that group of males are. And so full of SOLIDARITY to those who have to clean up all the piss and dispose of 60 bottles of it.

A WIN for messaging. AND this could be seen as another win for Stonewall with one of their volunteers in full support.

Because hey, some groups are vilified for merely sitting on the same panel, or meeting with groups labelled as hate groups (whether they are hate groups or not).

Full of wins... They keep on coming.

Stonewall would be far better off having Ben on there side.

Note:
And for clarity from the tribunal document:

"He (Knan) mentions only work by Alex Sharpe, and use of the premises for round table meetings .... In this context, Garden Court provided voluntary services to Stonewall, .." para 373

Here is an upcoming video on just how Stonewall have 'won'.

For anyone who needs it, this could be triggering.

This preview is a confronting video with transitioned males masturbating in female toilets, transitioned male's sexual offences listed etc.

twitter.com/Skirt_Go_Spinny/status/1562149378223120385?s=20&t=NTjuWo-KTc7RRHO1kwUczA

But, yeah. Stonewall are 'winners'.

IcakethereforeIam · 24/08/2022 15:49

I don't know if this is a mother nature being a terfy kind of metaphor but I once watched a wren hunting insects in the holes in a crumbling stonewall.

Helleofabore · 24/08/2022 15:16

I suspect that the heterophobic posts a few pages back may have not served hearache well.

Is that a Stonewall teaching as well?

Anyway, I wonder whether Stonewall are now fully comfortable with their unquestioning support of affirming only treatments and their campaign to force conversion therapy bans into the UK, while 'conversion therapy' bans have shown in other countries to be used to prevent multi-disciplinary therapies .

This new from Australia will be watched very carefully across the world. I wonder if Stonewall will reverse ferret.... oh.... that's right. No person can deviate from the extremist stance shown by some posters without them being vilified at every opportunity.

amp.smh.com.au/national/absolutely-devastating-woman-sues-psychiatrist-over-gender-transition-20220823-p5bbyr.html

As I pointed out, Ben Cooper was quite skilful in showing just how ideologically driven Stonewall is. But.... yeah.... Stonewall.... winner!!!!

I've no idea who Juno Dawson is and have no interest in finding out. What I will say is trans people saying homophobic things is just as bad as the gays and lesbians in the LGB Alliance saying transphobic things.

You apparently know what every member of LGBT thinks about everything but you dont know who Juno dawson is? Riiiiiigghhht.

And ffs will you stop quoting entire conversations then copying the little bit you are going to reply to. It makes the thread unwieldy at best, unreadable mostly.

Helleofabore · 23/08/2022 18:39

And don't forget the support wren! Very important!

While we are talking about ‘wins’ and Stonewall and experts.

I am looking forward to seeing a translation of this article.

twitter.com/montserratvano/status/1561070052836884480?s=21&t=Udrg2c8yf8SFFtsHd1bqNA

I guess that Stonewall will claim that a Nobel laureate Developmental Biologist Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard saying there are only two sexes is not ‘expert’ enough in clearing up the misinformation spread by Nancy Kelley’s tweet this week. The one where she quoted : "Modern culture has a vested interest in pretending that only female and male exist because enemies of LGBT people recognise it’s important to erase intersex people in order to uphold homophobia".

twitter.com/nancy_m_k/status/1560163238129680385?s=21&t=Udrg2c8yf8SFFtsHd1bqNA

No Nancy. Medical professionals and scientists tell us that people with differences in sex development can be categorised as male and female quite easily except in extremely rare instances.

But let’s wait for the EMMA article translation and see what an expert says.

(maybe Christiane is also not expert enough for some posters on this thread either though…)

The digital copy of this interview with Christiane Nusslein-Volhard is now available.

www.emma.de/artikel/viele-geschlechter-das-ist-unfug-339689

Here is what she says about 'intersex' (run through google translate):

Intersexuality is caused by very rare deviations, for example in the chromosome set. But intersex people also have the characteristics of both genders, they are not a third gender.

So.... do those who continue to post that 'Stonewall won' think that Nancy Kelley should be listening to a Nobel laureate Developmental Biologist on these issues?

Or an author, activist whose work depends on supporting their view and not on exploring to discover the truth?

Is that 'expert' enough for other posters? or because Nusslein-Volhard's work on the mechanisms of early embryonic development was on fruit flies (rather than humans, although it is applicable to humans of course... and not ethical to experiment on human embryos beyond 21 days now, the age was even earlier in the 90s!, is her opinion going to be dismissed..... )

Just waiting for the posts telling us this is not an example of 'Stonewall' winning too.

Because to me, Nancy's retweet using the quote 'pretending that only female and male exist' - as in that there IS a third sex, is just like Stonewall's evangelical and reputation damaging 'winning performance' in Allison's case.

Winning!

And another 'win' for Stonewall teachings over the weekend.

twitter.com/calderdalewoman/status/1561741668029693961?s=20&t=3IlaUuUh1D6bsY6DqPzqfQ

I mean, well done Tiffany Cromwell on being first in the women's Valterri Bottas Duathlon.

I mean... Tiffany is a professional Australian female cyclist with a string of wins to her name and is an Olympian. An exceptional female cyclist. The male cyclists , well the results for the event have not been released, just this photo, so we shall see what their details are and the females who came 4th and 5th.

This is a great 'win' for Stonewall. This is what they have been working towards for years now.

Fair competition for all!

(Except females it seems. Although, it seems that Stonewall supporters really don't care about females at all unless they fit in with the prevailing doctrine of the moment. Otherwise, they are to be vilified and, what.... yes, ignored and never to be included in the rights movements that is supposed to make their lives better too. Thank you Allison for setting the example to make sure even those who you find abhorrent are included, and indeed allowed a voice...)

Sorry.... typo.

Male cyclist

And fifth was Tiina Lahti although she would not have won cash, she should be recognised for coming fourth.

Helleofabore · 23/08/2022 13:07

Here we are:

Molly Cameron - 2nd place

A 45 year old male (surprise, surprise) and at least one article describes Molly's career is in 'wind down mode'.

Who described one race in the female category in the early 00's when they were a mid 20s aged male in the following way.

“They were like, ‘Look, we know our riding is better than you… but we want help on the flat because we’ve got like 50 more miles to go,’” she recalled. But Cameron held on for longer than they expected. And when it came to the finish, a short sprint up a small hill, Cameron crossed the line first—little kicker sprints have always been among her strengths. “They should have dropped me and left me for dead 10 miles in, but they made a mistake and I capitalized,” she said of her win. “I won completely just on being a savvy bike racer.”

Molly.... I think you probably forgot that you had a virilised puberty and testosterone development into your 20s on your side. I don't think it was 'just on being a savvy bike racer' at all.

Niina Virtanen - 3rd place (No details to hand about this person in cycling... possibly be the Finnish women's skiier? )

Fourth went to Tiina Nieminen who is a 43 year old woman who in 2007 held the Finnish Road Race Champion position. She came in 21:58 mins behind Tiffany. But would have placed second.

Helleofabore · 23/08/2022 12:29

Helleofabore · 23/08/2022 11:14

Another ‘win’ for Stonewall, eh?

So much care invested in making sure that young people seeking treatment for dysphoria in Scotland are being given the highest quality health care….

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/f15d8dda-2264-11ed-bb7e-0eb11fc7ccd4?shareToken=3fc335225eb3e4c6185e2d624f157213

However, yesterday HIS confirmed that the Scottish government has now ordered it to work on a package of standards for the gender clinic.

A spokesman for HIS said: “There are currently no national standards of care for gender identity services in Scotland. The aim of the standards is to improve access and delivery of gender identity healthcare to support the best outcomes and experiences for people accessing them.”

If I read this correctly, what were they using for standards of care previously?

Where was Stonewall in all this?

Helleofabore · 22/08/2022 15:05

For expediency, I shall post this link here. It is a thread, (that Hearache was on in fact), where I linked up some of:

  • the latest studies and papers about the impact of puberty blockers,
-the latest guidance issued by the health organisations from various countries. -the link to the interim Cass review -interviews with some prominent transitioned male gender clinicians and them raising alarms about the current treatment plans that have been pushed by lobby groups and adopted by WPATH and then pushed into other countries as the only option (as evidenced also by the Tavistock versus Bell court case)

www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/4566675-lgb-alliance-to-plan-helpline-with-lottery-funding?page=30

(There was also the quotes from Jane Fae listed there and others.... and I don't think that Hearache can claim to not know what Fae has said.)

But, I am just trying to save myself some time by linking this thread to save the derailing further. There is plenty of reading there linked up for readers if they are interested in where to start.

I also don’t ignore the rights of children and I try to centre their needs in making decisions.

Unlike the Baroness who voted against an amendment that would have allowed free school meals for kids of people on Universal Credit.

Would you please provide a link to that please? Any insight into why she voted against the admendment?

"And you cannot acknowledge the greater harms to female bodies of transitioning."

Should add also most LGBT people are pro-trans rights and that includes their right to bodily autonomy.

The vast majority of trans people don't regret medically transitioning and I am all for trans people taking decisions about their own bodies rather than the Government or a few angry transphobes on the internet. It's called personal freedom.

And still you cannot seem to comprehend the needs of young female transitioners. It is very clear from this and other posts that you don't consider their needs.

How many young female transitioners, or even adult female transitioners, are you happy to consider collateral damage because it is very clear that at the moment their standard of care is so very poor - clinicians from gender clinics around the world are raising alarms, the Tavistock is closing and Dr Hillary Cass has made a very clear point in stating that holistic and integrated care is what will be replacing it. And has pointed out the quality of care that is has been allowed to slip under Stonewall's watch. No, it is NOT just waiting times. It is the entire programme of treatment.

So, please tell us, how many female transitioners who have not received that quality of care are you happy to write off as collateral?

I have on past threads posted studies and papers describing detransitioning as being 8 + % and those figures were from 2-5 years ago. Shall I post them again as a sign of yet another Stonewall 'win'. Stonewall who don't support detransitioners properly (according to the growing number of detransitioners).

Considering the rapid growth and the very male oriented 'affirming only' treatment plan that was forced and is being forced through laws around the world that are being misused to capture holistic mental health care as 'conversion therapy', when the detranisition numbers do start being released in the future, it will show that those numbers being pushed by Stonewall and other lobby groups will have caused harm by not allowing the alarms to be raised sooner.

So, do tell us how many female, and male, transitioners you are happy to have suffered harm due to poor care to diagnose and treat their needs are you happy to have on your conscience.

(Oh. and please do not bother to post that study yet again, for what would be the 3rd? 4th? 5th? time. The authors have had to concede that their conclusions were not correct, and that there was little effect from the treatments they were supporting. And we have told you this every time you have posted it)

Helleofabore · 22/08/2022 11:07

I've no idea who Juno Dawson is and have no interest in finding out. What I will say is trans people saying homophobic things is just as bad as the gays and lesbians in the LGB Alliance saying transphobic things.

and

I don't know what Peter Tatchell's view are and I have no interest in finding out. All I know is homophobes always bring up paedophiles when LGBT rights are discussed and it's absolutely no surprise to me that this has been done by LGBA supporters.

From a passionate Stonewall and LGBT activist here vilifying Allison Bailey and Baroness Nicholson. These statements show any readers that this poster is very much a hypocrite. They are not interested in viewing their own community with the same zeal as they demonise others.

They wish to remain ignorant so they think they can continue to ignore that Stonewall even lets Tatchell have contact with children given his views. And Dawson, an ex school teacher, is lauded for their young adult fantasies...

I don't think we need any further confirmation that some posters on this thread have no concept of centring children's needs. And they are not even remotely interested in children's needs, else they would not post statements like this.

What kind of person chooses to refuse to even go and find out more about the people we are posting about, let alone engage on the topic with any resembling a considered approach?

Helleofabore · 22/08/2022 10:51

The only misogynistic posts in this thread are yours when you defend a woman who denigrates lesbian families and wants to take away trans people's rights to bodily autonomy.

You are the patriarchy.

I missed this one.

How very peculiar. A childish... 'no... you are!'

I think I have address at least some of your misogynistic posts in my post pointing out (a couple of posts up) that you seem to be unable to understand how female bodies are exploited for the provision of families for others. Just like you have proven in other posts on other threads that you have absolutely no idea about the needs of young female trans people. There are other examples.

But do go on. The live demonstration of inane activist tactics continues.

For readers, this speech by the UK's Attorney General, the Right Honourable Suella Braverman QC MP may be useful.

It lays down how the government and laws have been impacted by the over reach of lobby groups. She even mentions Stonewall by name.

If anyone is foolish enough to think that Stonewall has not be directly impacted by the Allison Bailey case is obviously someone who doesn't know how businesses and departments work. So much 'winning' for Stonewall and other lobby groups in this speech. From a QC who is the Attorney General for the UK and is very much aware of the bigger picture.

She is clearly signally as loudly and as specifically as she can in her role that Stonewall has been advising organisations across the UK of law by misrepresenting the law of the country. The deliberate misinterpretation of Equality Act.

I am not quite sure how much clearer the Attorney General's department can be. She laid it out pretty clearly.

So.. I am looking forward to all those posters on this thread posting solid evidence that she is wrong and Stonewall has been right all along. Bring it on. I want to see the convincing evidence...

Thank you for this link. Its a really clear synopsis of the legal position. I cannot understand how anyone with common sense could disagree with this.
