Their crowdfunder is doing well. There is some more detail in that as well (excerpts):

I was so excited to be a I was so excited to be a Green Party candidate, especially as a trans woman of colour, I was selected on International Women’s Day to stand. Party candidate, especially as a trans woman of colour, I was selected on International Women’s Day to stand.

The complaint submitted against me, which forms the basis of my suspension, is horrible to even read by itself; it states articles that mention me by the Daily Mail, The Spectator and even Graham Linehan’s transphobic blog are evidence of me bringing the party into disrepute.

Sadly it is true that trans members of the Green Party of England and Wales face abuse and cruelty from transphobes on a daily basis. There are Facebook groups and social media channels whose sole aim is to trash and harass Green trans members. Through these, members coordinate to submit complaints like the one against me. They aim to rid the party of all trans and non-binary people and remove our policies on trans rights.

Even those who aren't openly transphobic in the party's ruling bodies, have enabled these members by not taking a firm stance against bigotry. Their view is that abuse behind closed doors is none of their business, as we are told they have to consider “both sides”.

A solid legal challenge means there will be a case from the top to tackle this head-on. It will hasten the day when the party has to finally put a stop to discrimination that has plagued the party. To help me and my trans siblings breathe easier again.

@MarciaDidia

You don't need a GRC to have the protected characteristic of gender reassignment as therefore be potentially under the protection of the Equality Act 2010. I have no idea about the merits of any case but I don't think you could successfully argue that KB doesn't have that protected characteristic.
But the PC of Gender reassignment means KB cannot be treated any less favourably than a man or woman in the same circumstance. So if the Green Party would have treated any man or woman the same way for publicising lying on the census, KB can't use the protected characteristic of gender reassignment as the basis for discrimination.

Yes, that's the one. Takes knitting to interviews, I think, presumably to emphasise fae's dainty femininity. Cracking response to that here suggesting that feminist interviewees could do a bit of spot welding during interviews.www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3374614-John-Ozimek-now-Jane-Fae-on-women-feminists-and-victims-of-pornographers

Extraordinarily stupid for transgender people not to fill in census correctly, as pointed out here at the time. Sex: female. Gender: female. If ONS deduces anything from this it will be that KB and others who did similar are biologically female, so numbers of trans people will be underrecorded.

EmpressWitchDoesntBurn · 06/08/2021 06:47

Oh yes, the same Jane Fae who blamed women’s ‘eggshell skulls’ for them getting murdered by their partners, because it was all just boring examples of domestic violence gone wrong.

Datun · 06/08/2021 06:43

Since they bend over backwards to accommodate transgenderism, I'd love to see what Bristow perceives as discrimination. As opposed to breaking the law on the census, and publicly boasting about it.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/08/2021 06:42

Jane Fae's name appears in lower case on Twitter but not elsewhere, as far as I know. It's not Fae's natal surname, so we can assume was chosen for similar reasons to the fae pronoun users'. Fae is of course the self absorbed narcissist who chose the night before daughter's AS levels to announce 'I'm transitioning'. Previously a campaigner for the right to download and view extreme pornography.

He can't sue them under thé equality act if he doesn't have a grc, can he?

JustcameoutGC · 06/08/2021 06:37

Have we lost the option of just openly saying, but it's all just a pile of wank. I can't imagine trying to pull that shit with my mates when I was in my 20s, I would have rightfully laughed out of the student union.

When people are talking utter shite, they need to be told they are not have the whole world validate them. Please tell me there are some kids calling bullshit (I don't do twitter)

TheWeeDonkey · 06/08/2021 06:31

@littlbrowndog

What’s wrong with Green Party. I would off voted for them if they just concentrate Ed on green stuff

But they just seem to, be gender politics.

What’s the point of Green Party ?

You'd think they would have learned after the Challenor mess. I couldn't trust a political party with such poor judgement. (And thats with the mess all the other parties are in which is saying something)
Datun · 06/08/2021 06:22

Bristow is suing them for 'gender based discrimination'.

Should be interesting. I wonder what the definition of that is.

Re that painful medium fae article...

Twitter 👏 Is 👏 Not 👏 Real 👏 Life

MangoSeason · 06/08/2021 02:29

Hilarious. Here were the Greens, desperate to be seen as woke and progressive, giving roles and airtime to this narcissistic bully. Of course Bristow was always going to turn on them. Bristow turns on everyone once their delusion is threatened. I can’t understand why any organisation ever gives an inch to these types.

SpringCrocus · 06/08/2021 02:23

I told him he was breaking the law. Serves him right

There is a guide to conjugating (actually, "declining" is the correct term, but the site calls it conjugating) "fae" here: neopronounfaq.tumblr.com/post/185595241964/guide-to-faefaer-pronouns
Unfortunately, the guide slips up right away by saying that "fae" is the object form, "faer" subject, but then giving examples that show the exact opposite pattern.
The guide is written by someone called Rainbow, who apparently goes by ey, em.
Other blog posts reveal that that some people are using "vi", "vin", "vis" as their pronouns or "ni", "ner", "ners", and that xyr" has variable pronunciation (so you should ask the person who uses it for their preference).
(*"Uses" here is a misnomer for "demands the use of".)

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 05/08/2021 23:34

This person took the place of a woman in a position of influence in the GP, and then ousted the woman who was sharing the position.

Cuckoos behave like that.

Ekofisk · 05/08/2021 23:21

@TedImgoingmad

Isn't it something to do with fairy people.
I think it references that the pronoun haver is “away with the faeries”.
